Lately, it has been increased twice. After the last time, I seem to not be sleeping well. Does anyone have issues sleeping while on thyroid meds?

Home made Toilet paper- recipe makes sense
part 2 Soak the paper in a bucket or a tub of water. This will help remove the ink from the paper. Remove the paper after the ink appears to be 75 percent gone. Step 2 Place the paper in a large pot with a couple of handfuls of leaves and grass. This will help the paper fibers remain together. Fill the pot with water so…

No visitors, nobody can go with me to the hospital for surgery!
My hospital just told me that when I have surgery in 10 days that nobody can go with me. They can drop me off at the front door and pick me up. Only those who are in the hospital already can stay. I believe I'm canceling my surgery I was getting a port put in but it can wait. I'm not going without any of my family there to…

Scared
So it has been awhile since I posted about my husband. Well last year he was in clinical trial and had no blood transfusions for over a year. Just recently in the last 4 weeks he has had 8 pints of blood. He had abdominal aortic aneurysm, double pneumonia and two not one grandmall seizures. He has had it very rough. His…

Today's lesson I learned about being a laryngectomee.
I've noticed that liquid, whatever I drank last, tends to run out of my nose a lot. Especially if I bend over. I learned today that the sphincter muscle that used to keep things down in was removed so gravity takes over and whatever I drank last just flows back out.

Lymph nodes showing up on a CT scan and the doctor says they are "nothing"?
I have been doing well for a couple of years now and recently had a checkup with a scan. My doctor said there were some lymph nodes that are showing up but they are nothing. I don't like that description, especially since nodes haven't shown up before, or if they did they weren't mentioned. So now I'm questioning if I…

I'm still here
Yeah, I've MIA for a few days. Dragged my work computer home on Friday. Problem is, no internet until today. My cable company came and installed internet this afternoon, so I'm back. I'll catch up on stuff tomorrow... Ohio officially has a stay inside order. You can go out for essentials like groceries, pharmacy, food (our…

My doctors appointments have been cancelled, deemed, "not needed"
I am doing better now, and would agree that I'm not where I was a few months ago. But still, for someone that needs to be at their doctors offices, I'm not sure how that is working. Are you able to see them when you need to?

Immunotheraphy and Covid19
Interested to hear from those in Immunotheraphy treatment, what you may have been told about Covid infection while being in this treatment?, My belief is we are neither suppressed or compromised, but perhaps another layer of being protected by having a ramped up immune system?, Again no data to confirm.

What are your thoughts on working and this virus? I am in remission from AML and stem cell transplant. I returned to work as a Registered Nurse a few years ago. I had 4 years of photophoresis and am really nervous. What would you do? Take off work? Stay and work?

Several hospitals in our area are cancelling surgery except for emergency. .
Has this happened to any of you yet? I have a surgery scheduled for the 31st to put in a TEP device in my throat that is supposed to help me speak. I haven't heard from the hospital that anything has changed, but I'm sort of expecting it.

Our glitch on the site has been fixed, sorry for the inconvenience and delay in getting it fixed.
The questions that were asked during this time were not populating on the questions page, they were just going to the home page feed of whoever asked them. The Pinboard had a similar problem. Both are fixed and are working fine now. Please repost any questions you may have posted in the last two days so they will show on…

Another part of my new reality of living life as a laryngectomee
I have this little tube that goes in my stoma, it's called a "larytube". Its purpose is to hold my stoma open so it doesn't heal shut, or at least shrink. But its main purpose is to hold a little filter device called a Heat and Moisture Exchanger (HME) The idea is that with your nasal cavity your air comes in and out of it…

I noticed the Red Cross is asking for blood donations on the news.
Apparently the virus is causing a drop in blood drives and it's hurting those who needs it. I have donated before I had cancer, I was wondering if we can donate being cancer patients? I haven't called them yet. Thought someone here would know.
