How long do the side effects of chemo last?
Specifically the fatigue. I have been done with chemo for a year or so now and it still feels like I don't have any energy.

Staying positive and keeping your mind off of the negativity. How do you do it?
I read a lot of articles online about staying positive to help you get through the journey, but how do you do it? I am stuck thinking about the negative of what if I don't make it, what about this virus, will it make things worse? I feel like I'm slipping into depression but I'm not sure. I have never been to any kind of…

What is the first thing you will do when the quarantine is over?
We are sitting around watching TV and have watering mouths over all of the food commercials, looking at all of the pictures of vacation spots thinking about how nice it will be to go there. We are making a list, what will you do?

Are you having trouble getting in to see your doctor?
Mine said they are cutting back hours and limiting visits, whatever that means.

Have you been told that your surgery will be on hold until further notice?
This is a post by someone on one of my FB groups, this is sad. "I’m beyond devastated, I have stage four mucoepidermoid carcinoma. I was booked for surgery to remove a tumor to my parotid gland with a seeded part that is growing very fast on my neck. But due to the Coronavirus, my surgery was canceled and at its current…

Have you experienced the looks you get being a cancer patient, wearing a mask in public, and sneezin
I try to not even go out, but if I absolutely have to stop somewhere I put on a mask and dart in and out. Yesterday I cleared out an entire aisle in the grocery store when I sneezed. I look like warmed over death already and wearing a mask and sneezing during all of this freaks people out!

Have you isolated yourself at home due to our immune system being weak
I see that some people are still out running around like there is nothing going on right now. I am a little freaked out about someone coming around me that might be a carrier. The scary thing is most people that are carriers don't know that they are.

Have you seen any advertised "cancer cures" online, in magazines, on TV, or anywhere?
It's sad that some people make a living off of vulnerable people like cancer patients. Some are even former cancer patients themselves that have decided that they will get in on the cash cow and offer their own "How I did it" books, seminars, and videos on how they supposedly beat cancer without traditional treatments. Our…

We cancer patients talk about having a "new normal" when we are done with cancer, now I'm starting t
about this virus. I saw one post that was talking about how their life would be back to normal, but what parts of that normal did they want to keep. So I'm wondering, for those that have already finished treatments and have moved on, do you think this virus thing is going to have a lasting effect on your life, will you…

I've developed a case of the never ending hiccups!
I've searched a little and apparently, it's a side effect of chemo. Have any of you ever had this happen? What will stop them?

Food/Eating
I have an Ostomy bag as well as undergoing chemo. There are certain foods I can’t eat because of the bag. I’m having a lot of trouble finding foods that are high calorie, high protein that will help me get back some of the weight I lost. Anyone have any suggestions?

Letrozole side effects
Has anyone have bad jaw pain? Thank you
-
All of us cancer patients have probably seen something advertised that will cure our cancer.
Either a book that wants to tell us how to eat to prevent, or cure if you already have cancer, for only 49.95, or websites that claim that eating this fruit or that herb will do the same. Now I am seeing scams popping up that have similar claims to prevent the covid-19 virus. Please don't fall for this crap! There is…

WhatNexters in the New York Metro, Tri-state area.
Would love to hear from any of our friends in the new epicenter. Hope you're doing OK. I'm a New Yorker but at night I can see the light in the sky over Montreal so about as far away from the city as I can be and still be in the same state. Nevertheless, thinking of you all and really concerned for your welfare..

How is the general public reacting to this pandemic in your area?
What we are seeing is so many of the younger people are not paying attention to this and don't think it's a big deal. They are infecting others and making this worse I'm afraid.

Do you feel like music helps you get through this? The cancer, not the other thing going on right no
I've always been a musical person, I play guitar and listen deeply and inquisitively to all types of music. Sometimes the lyrics lift me up, other times I can disappear into the song listening to how the different instruments are being played. It's sort of an escape for me while I'm sitting in the chair. What about you?

What does your treatment facility look like during all of this?
I went in for treatment yesterday and was shocked at how the place reminded me of one of those movies where the whole world is dying off due to some disease. I guess life is imitating art in this case. A checkpoint to get inside the facility at the front door, followed by a trip down a hallway. Everyone is wearing full…

What type of procedure or surgery/treatment have you had canceled because of this virus?
I am back in treatment for a relapse and need a biopsy and possibly a portion of my lung taken out. I am being treated at a large facility that is almost closed. There are arguments going on about what is considered "elective".
