I am in my woodworking shop every day, still building chairs. I am enjoying the time there, but I'm ready for this to be over with so we can get back to life as it was.0

We are isolating in our home. We have a family member that is keeping us stocked on grocery and anything else we need.0

Because we live in a rural area, I stocked up on things before the panic began. So we're staying at home - gardening a little (spring weeds have sprouted), writing, and watercoloring. I'm also going to tackle some decluttering in the home office.0

I'm working from home. I live alone. I admit I'm really starting to get lonely. And I swear to God, I'm going to be agoraphobic when this is all over. Going outside already makes me nervous. Sigh.0

Before all this cancer stuff came into my life I was a pretty "stay at home" person. Then for the past three years I had become someone who was on the road everyday going to treatments, follow-ups, therapies, doctor's appointments for secondary issues , etc, etc, etc..., then adding multiple times weekly visits to my mother in senior care. Now all of a sudden I find myself thrown back to that time when I was perfectly contented to just be home. And...I've discovered I don't really like it. But, plenty to do here. I just have to get into a new routine. I love the outdoors and have 350 acres of it here all to myself. Walking daily will be good for rebuilding lost strength and stamina. Just wish tick season wasn't right around the corner. Kinda spoils the enjoyment. And I've gotten back to playing music again.0

I have been de facto quarantined for longer than anyone here (except those who live in Western Washington) The complex where I live closed the office almost immediately after the first deaths were announced: no going to common areas office closed etc. My congregation shut down before the stay-at-home order was official.
KandyKat has really stepped up to her position as principal companion. She follows me around all the time she is awake and she reminds me when it is time to go to bed.
I am considering ordering delivery from some of our local restaurants to help them out.
Because the grocery delivery service crashed I have not had a delivery for a month. They did not have enough trucks to handle the overload. So now I am dipping into my "earthquake" backstock0 -
Doing good here in Texas. I chat just about every day with friends - either by phone or text, cook way more than I like to do, read, play my little time-sucking computer game, have several Bible studies going on.
One of the girls in one of my small groups at church posted this today to a group text we have going. You guys might get a giggle out of it like I did. Whoever came up with it is very clever.
Just be careful because people are going crazy from being in isolation!
Actually, I've just been talking about this with the microwave and toaster while drinking coffee and all of us agreed that things are getting bad.
I didn't mention anything to the washing machine as she puts a different spin on everything. Certainly not to the fridge as he is acting cold and distant.
In the end, the iron calmed me down as she said everything will be fine, no situation is too pressing.
The vacuum was very unsympathetic ... told me to just suck it up, but the fan was more optimistic and hoped it would all soon blow over!
The toilet looked a bit flushed when I asked its opinion and didn't say anything, but the door knob told me to get a grip.
The front door said I was unhinged and so the curtains told me to ... yes, you guessed it ... pull myself together.

I searched all day Monday high and low and couldn't find it. I have officially lost my mind. But you know what? Life is easier and a lot more fun without it:)0

LWC and centered 1, love it!
I’m okay. We stay home a lot anyway. I can do my artwork here on my Mac. Get free online library books to read on my phone. Watch movies. Zoom or just talk on phone. Talk more to my plush dog (he’s happy I’m home more). Listen to Gov. Cuomo. Hear the day’s Covid count and rising death toll. Be frightened. Keep dreaming about the six-foot-rule (yes, every night).0 -
Today there was very good news. The models from the University of Washington project that the epidemic will peak on Apr. 9th and begin a significant decline on April 17. Seattle might be ahead of that curve because measures were taken there (and here ) before the rest of the state. Hang in there everyone if we can do it so can you.0

Carool, good to know you have your stuffed dog to keep you company and to talk to. I have several stuffed buddies here with me and I not only talk to them but we have multipart conversations among the whole group. But I'm not losing my mind from this isolation. I am completely NOrMaL! We gotta hang in This can't go on for ever. Can it?0

Bengal, hahahahaha! Thank you! In addition to my dog, I have a zebra pup and a baby Angus bull. But none of them can talk (they’re animals!). Wook, my dog, can bark and whimper. I only wish they could talk. And of COURSE you are completely normal — for a New Yorker!0
