Anyone had regular flu, or some type of infection that affected you so bad you had to stop treatment

I know the chemo will knock my immune system down and we are more apt to get various problems. I'm worried I might get something that causes me to stop treatment. Does this ever happen?

Hi there, I'm neither doctor nor professional but I think It is better to stay at home if you think you have a flu or infection because due to your weak immune system your situation can become worse. It will be better to ask your doctor whether to stop your chemo or continue at home with his consultation.
I hope he can give you some best suggestions so that you can feel somewhat better. Don't feel low, stay calm 7 &stay positive. I hope you can feel better soon.
    Best of luck!

I have had to miss treatments because I developed an infection from my WBC being too low. I wound up in the hospital for a week once because I developed a temp of 104 and rising. I was on IV antibiotics for all that time.
