Side Effects | Cough
Since the cancer was in both lungs I was treated aggressively. After 4 months of weekly chemo there was no more that could be done and my cough was so much worse (chemo cough) they stopped it.

Oh No | Cancer has spread/Metastasized
Spread to both lungs, which is why I had the chemo. Wish I had a port placed cause my veins will never be the same again.

How long does it usually take to get your results back from a CAT scan?
I had one done early last week, my doctor said at best by Friday but should have the results this week. I checked today and his office says nothing yet. Is it normal to take that long, should I be worried? I can only think that it might be bad news.

Had kidney removed in December 2018. Spent a week in the hospital and 2 weeks in rehab. Had to have 2 blood transfusions due to excessive bleeding.

After 6 BCG treatments, scans revealed that patient had bladder cancer with metastasis to the lung. BCG treatment was stopped in November 2019. BCG caused moderate pain and fatigue.

Decision Point | Treatment Options
Doctor gave me the options of: abiteratone/prednisone, enzalutamide, or docetaxel (chemo) in addition to Lupron for my initial treatment. He favored docetaxel due to widespread Mets. Second opinion also favored same, with second option of abiteratone.

Oh No | Just Diagnosed
Diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer with mets through hips, lower back, shoulders, sternum. Previously had no health issues, but went to the doctor for hip and shoulder pain. I originally thought it might be arthritis setting in at 46.

Port put in- cough with blood
My father had a port put in yesterday because he begins chemo tomorrow. He coughs frequently, but today when he was coughing, blood is coming up. He put a call to his doctor and nurse said the oxygen from his procedure yesterday could dry things out and therefore blood. Anyone else have this happen? Thanks!

Procedure or Surgery | Bone Marrow Transplant
I am surprised at how much this procedure (and the 25 day hospitalization) knocked me on my butt! I am normally quite active and stayed as active as possible in the hospital, but am still just completely exhausted.
