Treatment decision

Hi All,

I’m faced with a treatment decision in the next couple weeks and wanted to see if anyone had insights or similar experiences.

I have stage 4 prostate cancer with Mets to hips, shoulders, spine, and my doctor recommended docetaxel in addition to the ADT I just started. His other option was abiraterone/prednisone. He favored the chemo due to extent of Mets, but as of now I am favoring the abiraterone option for several reasons.

I was diagnosed about a month ago, started Lupron and zometa so far. Just wondering if anyone had similar path and what their experiences have been. I know it’s a very personal decision, but am interested in anyone’s additional viewpoints!

    I have had 5 diagnoses, but none of them prostate cancer so I have no experience to help you with that. I'm sure someone here does. I wish you the best in your treatments!
