ABVD chemo
I had my second treatment yesterday. More nausea than the first time and I woke up with my chest being red. Has anyone else had this? Is this normal?

Decision Point | chemo or not?
I began this journey taking Revlamid then subsequently wrapped up that. I've progressed and now, it's chemo time yet I've always said I'd never do chemo. I don't want my family to see that part of my journey. I want them to never know the down sides. I'm not sure what to do...

Covid saved my life. Maybe?
I went to have a covid test and had a fever. They immediately said I probably had it. I was sent to my doctor to have further tests. I had an infection that was giving me a fever. That was followed by a chest Xray which showed something abnormal in my right lung. The end of this episode was a biopsy which was positive. I…

Being outside in the sun after being diagnosed? Do you avoid the sun at all costs? Or not take any p
My doctor has said that we need to be careful and use a little sunscreen, and then in another appointment he said that I needed to avoid it all together. What do you do?

Hot Flash Help
Okay folks. Besides running a fan full blast, turning my air down to the point that the rest of my friends and family feel like they are in a meat locker, or wearing virtually no clothes (not particularly attractive or socially acceptable for work)- what have you found effective? Please know I am not going to consider…

We are lifting quarantine How to you feel ?
As the quarantine is lifted do you feel (A) Like you have been released from prison or (B) Like your fortress is crumbling For me it is B. People have said to me if you want to stay quarantined then just stay quarantined. Well that is possible for some but not for others. My son will have to go out and work. We discussed…

"We're all in this together" seems to be the corona catch phrase adopted by everyone advertising on
I've heard that so much I'm sick of hearing it. They all keep saying it but I haven't seen any of them knocking on our door to deliver groceries or offering free legal advice, or dropping off a new car. I get the feeling that too many people are trying to play on the feelings of fear and anxiety of the public. Have you…

If you're due for a colonoscopy this year, would you do it in light of COVID-19?
Initially a friend nagged me to get a test which was a rude awakening that I had colon cancer. I am past 5 years NED (no evidence of disease) now but am due for a test again. Should I?

Swelling in places where your cancer isn't at. Anyone have this happen?
I have swelling around my neck that has started this past week. It's making it slightly hard to breathe. Not extreme swelling, but enough to notice my neck is fatter than it really is. Doctor's appointment is Friday, they say "probably" nothing to worry with. Anyone have this happen, my cancer is colon cancer, not in my…

Life Planning
I know it's a subject that people don't like to think about. I know some people feel that planning for end of life might hasten the process, or invite trouble. I was always hesitant to plan for eventualities, but after seeing friends and family have to fight legal battles over how to best help their loved ones, I felt it…

Has anyone had excess gas, bloating, belly pains after/during treatments?
I know it wasn't just something I ate. I had treatment last week and almost immediately, I started having an embarrassing case of gas. Belching, farting, the whole gas issue thing. I don't think I've ever had a case like this before. Is this a chemo induced thing?

Oh No | Screwed Up My Experiences Timeline on Here
Ugh, I accidently wrote over my original one with things going on today (it's been a long day and apparently I not only have stage IV cancer, but also pneumonia, and COVID? I'll blame that on why I screwed up. I hardly ever write in here, so maybe that's why I royally screwed it up. Will fix later

Celebration | Breakthrough
I finally got back to cardio training at the gym. My last session at the gym was January 20th before my lumpectomy and then my mastectomy. Then just as I was released to do strength training, COVID-19 closed down the world and my gym was ordered to close. I have been walking and doing a little bit of yoga all along. On…

Synovial Cell Sarcoma and lung cancer
I am looking for help for a friend who's father has been recently diagnosed with this disease. He is 70 years old, and the doctors removed his leg. The tumor was found in the knee. Now, the doctors say there are tumors in the lungs. The patient wants to know if the traditional treatment of chemo and radiation are the best…

May trigger. How to know when enough it's enough?
I'm giving keytruda and lenvatinib (sp?) a try. I really can't do chemo anymore because my platelets just aren't recovering at all. There are a lot of other considerations, but how do you know when it's time to quit fighting. It's a question I never had the courage to ask my friends who went through it already. Should…

Do you have the same kinds of side effects with all your rounds of chemo?
I seem to have something different on each one. Sometimes they are opposite from the last time. One time its constipation, the next time its diarrhea. Dizziness one time and air-headed the next.

Oh No | Cancer has spread/Metastasized
Oh no what can I say. Now the doctors are saying I have a new cancer. This is completely a new cancer. I now have small cell lung cancer that has spread to my liver with stage 4. I was admitted to 10 days in the hospital with aggressive Chemo. My husband took me in with a 7 8 blood pressure and anomia. I am now out and…

Have you gotten a 2nd opinion? Have you ever heard of a "virtual" 2nd opinion?
One thing that the Coronavirus outbreak has expedited is the whole world of "telehealth". Doctor's visits by computer. Some are even just doing a phone call. We have talked about these new types of doctor's visits here at WhatNext before, but haven't gotten into the 2nd opinion by computer or phone. Our blog post today…

Who has used Keytruda? I know Live With Cancer has been on Opdivo, I know I remember some of you pos
Is it an injection, a pill, a drip like chemo that takes hours? Side effects? Harsh, not much, not at all? I will be getting this in Nashville, it's a 3 hour trip back, Sweetie might have to drive home.
