Thankful Thursday for Thanksgiving
Hi, everyone. It seems like an appropriate time to do a Thankful Thursday. What are you thankful for on this Thanksgiving Day?

Thanksgiving anyone? Everyone?
I will begin by assuming all of us might say "surviving cancer* is at least in the top 10 of our thankfulness list. And even the pandemic cannot take that away. We are thankful!! But, the pandemic is taking away a LOT of our joy for this holiday, isn't it? My family is all out of state, I mean REALLY far away so we never…

What to expect when getting taxol/herceptin infusions ?
Hello. I am getting my chemo port installed today and will be starting taxol/herceptin in a week or so. Would like to hear from others who have been through it. Especially side effects-which they had, when they started and how they relieved them (if they could). Thank you.

Rituxan maintenance
I’m considering stopping the RM treatment. I have prolonged side effects and treatment time is as slow as they can go with added dose of Benadryl. Anyone experiencing same? I’ve had full chemo, am in remission and on maintenance for 2 years, have completed 3 treatments.

The Best of Times/The Worst of Times
This past year has been a strange one for all of us. As we end this year with two holidays known for togetherness, thankfulness and hope- I wanted to focus on the random things that have made this year work. I want to focus on the people and the actions that have drawn us back to sanity in the days when we all seem to be…

The Only Thing Certain is Change
I have been in a job situation where I feel like I am swimming against the tide. It has been that way for about four years. My supervising attorney is 82 and just does not want to retire or admit he is ready to do so. I think the reality of time is setting in on him. He has been so accommodating during my cancer journey.…

Things have been quiet lately
How is everyone? Since we lost Greg, there hasn't been much activity on the board. Everyone doing OK?

how do you delete a post you made in a hurry and NOT delete your account and have to start over?
I went to WhatNext Home page and came up with no answer on how to delete. Maybe there is no deleting? I guess you have to be sure you won't regret sharing. They were overly long and I did 2 Updates. It was then that right after my updates I saw the picture of Greg P and learned he had passed away. I had recently started…

I am no longer homebound!
The wound care specialist has officially released me from care. I'll be wearing a dry dressing for awhile yet. She said probably I should be healed enough to do without it by Thanksgiving. Thought I'd share my good news. I've come a long way since the end of June and that stupid wound vac!

Closing In On Year 1 of Diagnosis
Today, I finally had my actual fitting for my post-surgical bra and prosthesis. I found out that my insurance will pay for me to have a custom prosthetic made, so I got scanned and measured for that today. I felt like things are finally moving forward. Next Tuesday is my mammogram and the following Monday a meeting with my…

Thankful Thursday in Honor of Greg
Hi, everyone. I ran across an old Thankful Thursday post of Greg's. In it he said there is always, always something to be thankful for. Well, I'm still grieving the loss of our dear friend. But, I thought in his honor, how about if we do a Thankful Thursday post? I'm thankful for Greg and all of you. It was a beautiful day…

Lyymphadema of the face.
Apparently. What I have is lymphadema making my face swell up. I haven't had a chance to see the doctor yet and won't for 2 more weeks. I'll ask more questions then. In the meantime, has anyone here had it. How do you go about massaging it to help it drain?

Greg's progress
I don't come on very often but for some reason thought of Greg today. It's good to see everyone being so supportive. Of course, why wouldn't he get all this support. I'm sure he's feeling all the love. Hope his hospital stay is short and is able to get home soon.

Thank you, Greg. An Inspiration, A Fighter, A Survivor
I haven't been active recently on What Next, but am an old-timer. So I've known Greg for many years; read his insightful & encouraging posts, & followed his amazing, inspiring story of survivorship. I am heart-broken that cancer has taken him from us, and more importantly his family, friends & loved ones. We have learned…

Prayers for Greg
I usually check out the What's Next Digest when I first open my computer, and I am always a little disappointed when it skips a day. But, now, I find myself being disappointed when there is still no post from Greg. It has been 20 days since he left a word here about the stomach tube craziness. I know we are ALL concerned…
