My biggest issue is Chronic Fatigue. Some doctors don't even recognize it as a real thing so don't even try to treat it. "You've been through alot". Remember, you're getting older". OR they call it depression (it is NOT) and want to push more drugs on you. BS! Chronic Fatigue is real and it is dibilitating.0

The latest issue of CURE magazine addresses fatigue. Subscriptions are free. And, so does the Blood & Marrow Transplant Information Network (www.bmtinfonet.org/). The surprising thing is that exercise is recommended. Right.
In my case, an enjoyable exercise, i.e. bicycle riding, is what works.0 -
Yes, po, exercise is recommended. It can be difficult to find motivation for exercise when you feel exhausted all the time but it is beneficial.0

When I first started in the clinical trial, I started packing on pounds. It took me a month or more to convince my oncologist that there was a problem. He did figure it out pretty quickly - broken thyroid. But, it definitely took me a bit to get him to even realize there was a problem.
Otherwise, the few complaints I have had, he has sent me to some other specialist and the problem has been handled right away.
I'm sorry you're having issues they can't figure out how to address0 -
What phase is the clinical trial you are in, Greg? It could be that some of your symptoms are new and a result of the drug(s) you are being given through the trial.0

Bengal- I am now 40 years old, diagnosed age 34. I have had chronic fatigue the entire time yet regularly exercise and practice yoga. Although I don't find myself with more energy, I do enjoy the exercise. The fatigue is REAL and evidently if you don't personally experience it, it doesn't exist as far as some doctors are concerned....0

I have really bad, very low back pain since the cancers.
Have had all the tests, all the therapies, all the pills and out-patient shots & minor nerve abalations or whatever they are called, but still the doctors can't put their finger on it.
Yoga, and stretching and warm water and ice and CBD products-- nada! Relief for a few minutes can be found by the stinky creams similar to Ben Gay ointment.
Naturally, the weight has piled on as exercise/walking is not an option.
It is really getting too expensive to go to the therapist or doctor or whatever in vain.0 -
My oncologist prescribed Ritalin 10 mg, AM and 10 mg, Noon - it makes an amazing improvement with my severe fatigue. I still get tired early evening but I’m much more alert during the day. I think I started out with 5 mg doses. Good luck. Hopefully you will be able to give it a try!0
