An immunotherapy question for anyone that has been on it.
Yesterday I started feeling the first of what I am thinking are my side effects. I have started feeling a lot of pain around the two tumors in my neck. I asked my doctor about this today and they say it's the immunotherapy causing irritation to the tumors because it's starting to work. Did anyone else get this feeling or…

We got here Sunday night, I've had a few tests done so far. They have figured out what the problem is, I cant swallow because of the swelling in my throat has caused occlusion of esophagus. Have any of you tried Zoom for exercise?
I have been exercising religiously for 4 years to help prevent a recurrence. For the last year, I've been going to a gym that offers Silver Sneakers. But with the pandemic, I'm unwilling to go back in person with COVID-19 running rampant in Georgia. The gym is Zooming the Silver Sneakers class Monday - Friday. I tried it,…

This is because they see a soft tissue mass which could be associated with my cancer. I do not want to go back to the pain…

Immune system & COVID-19
Apologies. I don’t know how to delete my previous post. My question is how long is your immune system considered compromised after BC treatment - lumpectomy, chemo and radiation in my case. I am a good 6 years post-diagnosis and treatment. So am I at higher risk for this Coronavirus or is my immune system back to normal?

Oh No | Just Diagnosed
I was diagnosed a couple of weeks ago, but it is small (less than 2 cm) and early. It was not a huge shock because two of my mother’s sisters died of breast cancer. I have decided on bilateral mastectomy (not nipple-sparing). If pathology on lymph nodes is positive, I will also have radiation therapy. I am thankful that I…

I was just browsing through my billing at Vanderbilt and found my bill for my surgery on Jan 28.
My bill was 174,000.00 and my wonderful insurance appears to have paid 22K leaving us 152,000.00 to pay. No problem! Excuse me while I run out to the garden and dig up our coffee can. That's where we keep the "big" money.

Stage IV now
This has been hard to think, much less say. I found out Friday my cancer has spread, to liver, bones, lymph nodes and possibly pancreas (rare, but possible). I’m waiting for a pancreas biopsy to determine if pancreas is a new primary cancer or another bc secondary. Apparently treatment can’t be determined until they know…
