Best OTC treatment for skin surface lumpectomy scarring (not involving lymphedema)
My lumpectomy back in 2014 went fine, without much surface scarring (the scars were cleverly hidden in a fold of my breast on the side). My lymphedema is another story. However, a good friend had her lumpectomy this past April, and has significant scarring, and is asking for advice on any OTC and natural remedies to reduce…

Ok, I'm back
It's easier for me to mess with y'all from my work computer, and today is my first day back to work. Since I'm working from home, insurance still considers me homebound, so I won't have any problems continuing with my home healthcare nurse. I still have a wound vac and need dressing changes 3 days a week (waiting for her…

So the main area of tumor activity has been in the neck on my left side, on the right side which no mention has been made of. Do you have experience with "oral chemo pills"?
Our blog post today has information about chemo by mouth or oral chemo. A lot of people don't think you can have chemo unless it's laid out on the bed, stretcher or exam room table/bed.

As you're mama probably told you too, don't talk about religion or politics in public. Obviously, this has been thrown out the window. Anyway... My issue is on the religious side. I haven't had anyone come right out and say it, but I've had more than one person from our church insinuate that me having cancer was my fault,…

Cancer Awareness-Does it matter? Does it help?
I've been noticing the actor that recently died from colon cancer Chadwick Boseman, who became famous all of a sudden from his roles in Black Panther and several others. I really had no idea who he was, but he was actually quite famous if you follow films. My point here is, he was one who kept his cancer a secret. I didn't…

Drug or Chemo Therapy | Chemotherapy
Radiation therapy utilizes high-energy particle beams to eradicate cancer cells within a targeted area and prevent them from spreading throughout the body. This has been shown to shrink mesothelioma tumors, relieving associated pressure and pain. Oncologists utilize “targeted” therapy — only exposing specific areas of the…

All of this staying at home and watching a ton of TV has led to an interesting thing.

Every morning someone will ask, even if it's after I've only been up for a short amount of time, how I'm doing. I can't answer for a couple of hours because it seems like every day there is a new issue, a new side effect, or something to deal with. I told someone that it's sort of like being on a game show and every…
