Has anyone been demoted, had hours cut back, been fired, or "layed off", after getting your diagnosi
I was told when I was diagnosed that there were "no worries", your job will be here if you have to take off work, we will accommodate. Turns out words are cheap. Now I'm starting to feel some heat for missing work. I'm not out running up and down the bar streets, but at treatments, surgery, procedures, or basically just…

Do you look forward to the weekend when you've been in treatments all week?
After enduring 5 days of radiation and chemo to boot through the week I so look forward to not having to go to treatment on Saturday and Sunday. It's almost like a holiday to me. I love to wake up early and get some coffee going and sit in my chair and watch the morning news while browsing the internet. The only drawback…

How long does it usually take to get your results back from a CAT scan?
I had one done early last week, my doctor said at best by Friday but should have the results this week. I checked today and his office says nothing yet. Is it normal to take that long, should I be worried? I can only think that it might be bad news.

A reminder for all of my fellow cancer survivors, next Sunday, June 7th is National Cancer Survivor's Day. It's sort of a big deal for us. It says: In the blink of an eye, your life can change due to disease. Your dreams, goals, life change. Are any of you finding as this crisis goes on you are staying up later and later at night ?
I 've heard from several people who are experiencing this trend and heard a psychologists explanation. When you go to bed the hope is you will quickly go to sleep so what is the next thing that happens? You wake up and it's another day. Subconsciously, we do not want to face that coming day because of all the stress and…

Do you find that your mornings are the worst part of your day since you started chemo?
I used to jump out of bed in the mornings, but now when the alarm goes off I just don't want to get up. I'm sore all over, I don't feel good, and it takes me an hour or more to start feeling like something. After that is over I seem to feel OK for the rest of the day. It doesn't matter if it's a treatment day or not this…
