I've made a concerted effort to log in everyday to read the latest. I comment when I feel it is appropriate to do so. But I was wondering if we still had Colby as a Moderator. I don't remember seeing anything since his introduction but perhaps I overlooked a post(s).
For those of you that pray, I'd appreciate a few for my lung biopsy on Wednesday. They've taken me off my Warfarin and are bridging with Lovenox shots. I've never had this procedure before, only kidney biopsies. I have been warned that occasionally a lung can collapse and then I would be admitted. The hospital is full as of now, three quarters of its' beds are occupied with Covid19 patients. I am not looking forward to this. I'm sure some of our community have been through this at some point. If so, is there much pain post procedure? I hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy during this crazy pandemic. I get my first vaccine on Thursday at 6pm!!

andreacha, I'm sending very best wishes and lots of prayers for Wednesday. You hang in there. You'll do great. We're going to be with you in spirit. Please let us know how you're doing afterwards and the results whenever you get them. It sounds like you're looking forward to the vaccine. That's terrific news that you'll get the first shot on Thursday.
As far as the moderator issue, I have not seen any other posts and don't have any info on that.0 -
Thanks, Bug, for your prayers and good wishes. I already know the biopsy isn't a "walk in the park". I hate pain. A real whoos! As soon as I can, will post what I know. I am indeed looking forward to the vaccine. Be well.0

andreacha, I have not seen anything new from Colby since his initial post. I have been wondering what is happening. Of course, we are still here for each other, but I do miss the inspirational posts from Greg, as well as the funny ones. I will keep you in my prayers as you have your procedure and for a speedy recovery from it. Give yourself the time that is needed to recover. Don't push yourself. Take care.0

I’ve had a lung biopsy outside surgery, as a definitive diagnosis to determine if treatment was needed; it was a needle biopsy done under CTScan with sedation. No pain. Good luck to you.0
-
andreacha, praying for you as you undergo the lung biopsy. Praying for good results during and after the procedure and that they will find no malignancy.
Hugs!0 -
Andreacha, I haven't had the procedure you're going in for, BUT... I have been in the hospital 4 times since June. Plus 3 weeks in skilled nursing in July/Aug. Had home health care nurses in 3 times a week for 3 + months. No Covid scares. Was I nervous? Oh yeah. But everyone was so careful. Even though I wasn't a Covid patient. First 3 involved diagnosing a mass, removing it, then dealing with infected JP drain. Last was a staph infection in my leg, necessitating IV antibiotics. Kinda tired of hospitals... Hope all goes well for you. And yes, you'll be scared, but I hope your worry is as unfounded as mine was. Good luck.0

Oh, andreacha, I hate pain, too. And I'm a big chicken and can get really worked up when it comes to medical stuff in general. It's a real effort to try to calm myself. But I keep trying...0

Andreacha, I have not had a lung biopsy but am sure that they will do there best to make it as pain free as possible. Wishing you a pain free procedure and positive outcomes!0

Andreacha,
While I have not had to face exactly what you are, I can empathize. I hope your procedure goes as smoothly and painlessly as KB2013 experienced. Besides prayer I am also quietly visualizing you at home after the procedure with a huge feeling of relief to have it over and that you are pain-free then, too. I have a simple medical appointment today. It will give me the opportunity to be grateful mine is so simple and to remind me to send positive thoughts your way. Best thoughts for normal biopsy results as well.

I don't believe that Colby has posted since then.0

I am also curious about our moderator status? This morning I opened my notice from What Next Digest to see I had a *new contact* listed - it was Legaljen69. What? We all know Legaljen has been here over a year and no way is she *NEW* to anyone? And who knew Gabba had been acting as a monitor in the past? Apparently, not anymore?
Meanwhile - today is Wednesday and I hope it all goes quickly and smooth for Andreacha!0 -
JustForToday, lovely sentiments.
MarcieB, the "New Matches For You" have listed veteran WhatNexters for several years. I first noticed that a very long time ago when I posted a "welcome" note to someone and then noticed afterwards that they had joined WN years earlier. Now when I "welcome" someone I make sure to check when they joined first. Maybe the "New Matches" section is computer-generated and not actually done by a person...?

Hello everyone, wanted to reach out again to re-introduce myself. I am helping out with moderation here on WhatNext. I have been working when I can to help with the spam issues and other maintenance in the background of the site. I am sorry if people feel like I haven't been as attentive as I should be on the front end and I will work to change that. I understand any frustrations and appreciate your patience.
If anyone has direct issues with logging into the site, please email me at colby (at) patientworthy dot com. (Please replace the "at" and "dot com" with the appropriate formatting in your email. There is a filter regarding email addresses to help cut down on spam that means I am unable to post the full email address.)0 -
Colby, thank you for working on the spam issues. It is much appreciated. Being the moderator of this group means you have big shoes to fill. We miss Greg, but we do look forward to working with you. I am sure that you will have your own style.0

Thank you Beach Bum. I know how important Greg was to this group, so I don't think I could ever fill those shoes! Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need any assistance.0
