KB---about half of the time hearing aids increase the ear noise. Every 2 years, I ask if there's a way to reduce tinnitus. They keep saying -NO-- It's hard to think about---

    KB2013,
Anytime you are struggling, as you mentioned in your post, you can benefit from going to a Counselor as soon as you can. Your doctor can refer you to one and your insurance will pay.

I lost two family members (parents) in October 2016, so I can partially relate, although not to the degree you suffered. I also told my siblings recently I had read that multiple "major life events" in a year are not healthy for anyone, so they needed to please see a Counselor, who can give you hope when you have none.

Even relocating is considered a major life event, which is why they say widows shouldn't make big decisions for at least a year.

    Wishing you happiness.

Hi ho. Just finished a wonderful book called "The Dark Monk" by Oliver Potzsch. It is about a hangman/detective and his daughter, a phenominal herbalist stuck in the lowest caste of life because of her father's profession. Her lover, who she cant marry because he is a caste or two above her is a short statured and quick witted medicus and the son of a medicus which is what doctors were called back in the 16th century. The Black Plague threatens everyone .. The first test they give, today, you is one of your insurance In the 16th Century, they sold you expensive herbal medicines for gold or barter. The medicus wants to learn and admires the hangman's herbal skills which had been learned in battle .. But I dont want to spoil this Nancy Drew & Ted mystery. :-)

BTW, do you remember the Twilight Zone episode where the boss always wanted more? A fat dude who daid "push, push, push" and the poor bothered and harried commuting worker kept seeing a delightful stop on his train way home to a nagging wife? The worker/commuter eventually couldnt take any more and got off the train at the pleasant little stop called "Willoughby"? It was a small town such a could exist only in Twight Zone or the Andy Griffith Show.

Then the camera went back to the train and a hearse was making a collection. On the side of the hearse it said "Willoughby Mortuary".

Dont get "push, push, push" ed into Willoughby.

    Best wishes.

On. Who wrote TX Hills comment about Ativan that it was not addictive because it was not a narcotic. True it is not an opiate but is a benzodiazepine which is a controlled substance and It can be very addictive if used for long periods of time or abused. I just didn't want anyone to get the impression that any benzo can be taken with no repercussions should they not follow the doctor's orders.

    This is from WebMD

Despite their many helpful uses, benzodiazepines can lead to physical and psychological dependence. Dependence can result in withdrawal symptoms and even seizures when they are stopped abruptly. Dependence and withdrawal occur in only a very small percentage of people taking normal doses for short periods. The symptoms of withdrawal can be difficult to distinguish from anxiety. Symptoms usually develop at 3-4 days from last use, although they can appear earlier with shorter-acting varieties.

My sons never stop supporting me, even though at times especially in the beginning thought i wouldn't have much time left. I thank God for their support. People can be cruel without meaning to my experience at the hospital was not good when first diagnosed and make me feel down but i got through it and fought to be able to live my life as long as i can. Giving back to the community and forcing myself to be more active saved me from despair. God has been a huge different in how i feel about myself and my life. I am not a saint and he forgives me my faults and makes me a better person. I am sorry that you have to face this relationship when you are facing your toughest battle, God be with you.

May 2013 I was told I had brain cancer. After two biopsied I was told I had lung cancer with brain metastases. I had 5 lesions and was told I had 3-6 month to live. I underwent whole head radiation, targeted radiation for the tumors. It took care of the all the brain tumors except one. It is still there. It has not changed. Due to the location, surgery is not an option. I have yearly MRI's. PET scans every 6 months.
    Not sure if helps.
