I am looking for another WhatNexter to write their story out for me to be featured on our Blog for our WhatNexter of The Week. Would you like to do that for us? It's pretty simple, you don't have to be a "writer". You just write out what has happened with your diagnosis from the day you found you had a problem and went to the doctor up through the current day. I usually just say to cover these points in your story and it writes itself.

How did you know you had a problem?
What was your diagnosis and stage?
What was the plan for treatments?
What have you had done so far, surgery, chemo, treatments?
What sort of side effects have you had?
What are some of the worst parts of the whole thing so far?
What have you learned about yourself, your family, friends, and life in general since diagnosis?
How has cancer changed your life in general?
How are you doing now? Still in treatments, maintenance, cruising smoothly and just watching?

If you write that out and email to me greg @ whatnext . com with a few pictures we will edit and put it together. You don't need to worry about most of the technical things while writing it out. We will make it flow, if needed, and edit for grammar and spelling, etc.

@beachbum5817, I see people are writing their condolences to you but I can't find what actually happened. I'm sorry. For whatever happened and that you had to go thru something obviously hard.

beachbum, I wrote something on the Pinboard but I just wanted to say again that I am so sorry about your husband and your mom. I can't imagine how you must be feeling. I'm sending you love and prayers and very best wishes. I wish I could give you a hug. Please write whenever you need a shoulder or an ear. I'm here.

Thank you for response. I don't see my oncologist until the 18th. I get my drains out today. Everything is happening so fast.

Hi, beachbum5817! I received an e-mail notice dated yesterday that you wrote on my wall but when I clicked on the link it took me to a conversation that was with other people - no sign of you on that page. Am I going crazy or are the computer gremlins at it again?

Hi,,, Treat was a nice post you left.... Have to ask you about PERGETA ? Have you taken it and is it Ur understanding it actually kills cancer cells? I have been taking it since March 1 ,2017 and my Pet Scan has shown everything shrunk in half,,,I am also taken herceptin and faslodox shots....I had a reoccurance in Nov 2016 originally diagnosed in July 2012 Stage 3b then now Stage 4 in my Lung and locally in chest wall under arm.... Lots of side effects such as nose blogs at first now a constant running nose which I don't understand how that works to cause the house problems?

Hi, BB! I just read your profile too. And there is absolutely no reason to think you won't have a long remission like I have. I didn't see where you listed the chemo drugs you had except for wonderful Herceptin. We are very lucky that science made the decision 20 years ago to focus on the Her2+ cancers and developed Herceptin, Perjeta and Kadcyla. When I was first diagnosed in 1998, Herceptin was brand new. I think if I would've received it my first go around, there's a good chance I wouldn't have gotten the recurrence in 2013. But ...can't go back so I'm just grateful that it and the other targeted drugs are here for us now!! Let's keep in contact. Hugs, Jen
