This was my second round of TC chemo, after a recurrence 13 years post initial diagnosis. I actually think it was easier this time, and attribute that to exercise and knowing what to expect

I work for a wonderful company that gave me 26 weeks off with pay. I have ran all my "keep my job" time off that there is available, and have started back to work part time. My new FEAR is making my bills each month, as I am single and have always worked hard to save and look forward to retirement...that's way down the…

Decision Point | LEGAL SUIT
Please if anyone reads this and would like to help. I think that I must file a lawsuit if only to save others from the pain and suffering that I was/am still subjected to. I have read many others experience with breast cancer, and have not ever read that this is a common practice of doctors. I fear that I now have PTSD. IT…

I was in shock! I'm not an emotional person, but during the phone call with my PCP, and hearing the words that; "you have Cancer!" I started to cry. Not because I was sad, or why me, or that I was going to die; I was just shocked!

Other Care | Other
Since I am young, and at high risk; I currently am taking an injection in my stomach once a month (Zoladex-Goserelin) and a pill once a day. Both for five years, three more to go. I started off having hot flashes. I no longer do. Now, I'm having bone pain.
-
Side Effects | Fatigue (tiredness)
I was tired after my Infusions. I started to lose my hair (so I had my nephew to shave it for me). After a while I got the metallic taste in my mouth (I still ate lol). I also lost muscle mass because I wasn't able to work out after my breast procedures. Also, my periods were stopped during Chemo (Two years now).

Side Effects | Nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy)
Have it in my fingertips and toes that started after my 5th of six chemo treatments. I did do icing of my hands and feet, but I still have neuropathy. Additionally, my fingernails are all deteriorating and regrowing at the same time.

Procedure or Surgery | Lumpectomy
My mass had about 90% cancer gone, so chemo was working. However, I was hoping the cancer was all gone. Also, cancer was found in 2 or 4 lymph nodes extracted. One was macro-metastasis and one was micro-metastasis. I did have a drain. My surgery was on July 30, 2021, and I am still recovering.
