Doctor gave me the options of: abiteratone/prednisone, enzalutamide, or docetaxel (chemo) in addition to Lupron for my initial treatment. He favored docetaxel due to widespread Mets. Second opinion also favored same, with second option of abiteratone.

Diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer with mets through hips, lower back, shoulders, sternum. Previously had no health issues, but went to the doctor for hip and shoulder pain. I originally thought it might be arthritis setting in at 46.

I am now almost a year out from radiation. But, the pain in my arm and side will not lessen. Are there any recommendations on what might help in relieving this pain? I have tried occupational therapy, heat , nothing seems to work.

Trying 3 rounds of Keytruda via IV, another drug recommended by Dana Farber. This was FDA approved in the fall of 2019 after clinical trials showed promising results in patients with advanced endometrial cancer. Feeling optimistic.
