Hello WhatNext! I wanted to share a community survey that we put together with the help of the team over at Patient Worthy. The survey covers aspects such as what you like best about WhatNext, what could be improved, added, fixed and more. We're also seeking advice from some of our cancer support and patient group partners at Patient Worthy to see what has worked for their communities. This survey will be vital feedback as planning for the future of WhatNext moves forward. We want to make sure we listen to the WhatNext community about what you would like to see on the website. Please take a moment to fill out the survey and let your voice be heard.

It would be nice if WhatNext would send me updates-- How's that for a survey answer---The stuff on my Wall is from 6 years ago-- so I completed this. 7/11/210
-
I put in a search for Carool's page--I was give the result of names that started with K living in Kentucky Kansas a city like Kansas City I know that Carool and Legaljean have breast cancer-so I went for BC questions and found legaljean, who had a comment from Carool. That's how I found the survey. My suggestion is --A GOOD SEARCH ENGINE--0
-
O--I was originally trying to find our book discussion---0
-
Meyati, WN doesn’t send updates about anything. We have to check on the site to see new questions. We get reminders when we comment on a question.
Re searching for me here - I just searched for myself and my name came up immediately (I’m the only Carool). I don’t know why it didn’t come up for you.0 -
Meyati, the book discussion was started by MarcieB. You can find it under Questions: “What are we reading,” right below this one.
I had to copy/paste this reply twice to edit it. I wish it were possible to edit our own comments.0 -
I don't know what to call them-notices, updates-I used to get them several times a week. Now all of a sudden, about every 6 months, I get one. They have/had about 3 or 4 items of interest--new head-throat cancer members-and a couple of questions from friends and and head-throat patients. I thought everybody got those. Why would I think that I seemed to be on a different schedule?
I do agree about the lack of editing abilities. When I do comment, I do get updates of other comments and likes-which I consider more of an acknowledgement than approval, but that is different than the updates-notices or whatever you call them.
i know a good share of this is my fault, but why should I be remembering the exact name of questions or the names of nice people that I'm seldom in contact with, especially since I am used to another system? I do try to remember to move some of these to a file, so I have a direct link to WN.
I'm pretty sure that search results are dictated by servers, and the routes taken. If the first choice is pretty busy, another route is used, and results can differ from the same search the day before. This spring, I wanted to buy some sponges. I entered what I thought was the name, and I got everything but- like 5 results for the same national company that sells creams, Amazon, and Target.
WaPo had a story about Google being lousy for searches--and that's another variant-search engine and my MS software program. I complained- Tarpon Springs, FL. yellow rubber duck for avatar, NaturalBathBody, Several wonderful people sent me a link, and they talked how they had problems finding it. When my old phone went out, I lost the app, and I've done several app searches for my new phone-I can't find an app. I entered their ph # as a contact and make a call for purchases.

I'm glad you found it. Hooray---well done0

I just asked a question that is not posted. This is the second time this has happened to me? My question is posted on my wall, on my homepage, but what good does that do? No one can answer a question they can't see! Has anyone else posted a question that has not come up under the "Questions" banner?0
-
MarcieB, I haven’t asked any questions recently. It’s bothersome that your (or anyone’s) questions aren’t being posted.0
-
Do you have Colby's Email? Contact him----
Colby
colby @ patient worthy . com you know how to turn this into a workable Email address--remove all of the spaces. I have to be honest--I never checked to see if anything was actually posted.0 -
I’m gonna post a question now.0
-
@ Carool-----Why do questions disappear????????? and I know it's not a laughing matter0
-
Meyati, I have contacted Colby so many times it is not even funny. I also notice we are not getting the daily digest anymore. Can that be because no one has posted a question since July 18th (when I left for vacation)??? I don't think so.0
-
When Greg passed, I quit getting the digest regularly-unless one wants to say----one digest every 5 to 7 months is regular. Sometimes I get one then a few days later another one, and then months and months before I get another one. I've been complaining about this a lot on WhatNext. I did contact Colby about this- he replied and I gat a digest- then no more for a long time.
Since this is free, I don't know whom to complain to. Even when things aren't free, contacting the WHOM doesn't work either. Maybe the ACS? I think this is Disquis-and we could contact Disquis with a petition. I'm sure that would work--sarcasm--with a petition of 5 signatures----probably 500,000 would go to spam too0
