It seems some WhatNexters are communicating by posting on each other's walls because the site is still not functioning correctly. I just wanted to seek you out and say Hello. I dropped out for awhile. I had just reached a point where I didn't want to talk about anything "cancer" and then to lose Greg was just too hard. I am back, trying to contribute and be a part of helping keep WhatNext going. Hope all is well as can be expected with you and yours.
Thinking of you.0February 2022 -
Just checking in to say hello. I haven’t seen much on WN since we lost dear Greg. I’m happy to say I’m doing okay almost 7 years out now. Happy to see my friends are still here ❤️ Welcome to newbies. This site pulled me through many hard days. Blessings to all0January 2022

Cisplatin, the Chemo drug, has caused many, many patients suffering from cancer, many serious permanent side effects. The Oncology doctor, forgot to put any info in my patient packet about Cisplatin, or explain any of the possible side effects. I sued their ass and was my own attorney and won my case in small claims court. I could not get an attorney to file a regular suit.0January 2022

Hey, Meyati! It's time for a monthly book review! Carool posted the question, and of course, it is on her wall because nothing gets posted under QUESTIONS anymore (ugh!). Anyway, if you didn't get a digest to alert you to the question you wouldn't be aware of it. I just wanted to let you know in case you want to join in the discussion.0October 2021

my stomach problems three years ago got much better using probotics and over the counter stomach medication, Omeprazole. My stomach was creating way too much acid, Ha! it did coughing it up, eat up the mucus in my throat, making it easier to expel that too.0January 2022

Hi,
I understand your brother's fear of having kids. Fear that he might pass it to them. I had same mindset- my first cancer was when I was about 22 or 23. But I already had a child, never had another either & I am sure glad I was smart enough to have the brains to understand that there was a good possibility something was not kosher in my DNA.
After 4 or 5 more episodes of the big C, it was positive that I was a cancer magnet. Tomorrow I get my stitches out from my latest Melanoma-- they got it all. So this is # 6, guess I am too tough
but I am dam tired of it all.
Hope you are making it through this crazy year, write anytime, friend Meyati!!!0July 2021 -

I am so glad your trip to the ENT was good. Loss of hearing can be difficult to deal with but I have come to realize the like it or not we can deal with almost everything. Best of luck to you and your canine companions0July 2020

Realized I hadn't noticed any posts from you in awhile. Is all well with you? It's worrisome when we don't hear from one of our friends. Sure hope you're doing OK.0August 2020

Hi Meyati. Since you can't seem to post to my wall, I am posting to yours. Thank you for wanting to chat. I love your pictures with the dogs. I see you are a pet lover too.
Something we have in common.0June 2020 -
I am not sure how to get it so maybe we can communicate privately. I don't want to put contact info on your wall, but if its safe, let me know and I will send you info.0June 2020

Meyati, I always look forward to reading your responses. I find you to be a fascinating person. You always have informative, thought provoking, and sometimes controversial things to say. With all you have endured you maintain a positive attitude and bake delicious looking bread. Keep up the good work. If I were ever to find myself in New Mexico I would love to meet you. Slim chance of that anytime soon. :-)0May 2020

meyati, are you having knee surgery? Good luck to you. Please let us know how you're doing when you feel up to it.0October 2019

Hi meyati,
How are you doing? I missed your response to me from a month ago until just now. Man!!!! I am (1) sorry you're going through so much and (2) apologetic that I am just now responding. I either didn't get or didn't see a notification that there was a response on my wall.
We were in NM a few weeks ago - you were really heavy on my mind since we were not all that far from you. The RV we bought for our son is still in Elephant Butte and we were there to clean it out (finally) and get it ready to be sold or moved. I think we're going to move it to Texas ... once we find someone to do it at a halfway affordable price ... we don't own a vehicle that is heavy enough/capable to pull it ... Plus, I don't think my husband would be able to drive it due to his health and I don't think I could due to my driving abilities. I've never pulled anything, much less a 36' RV.
That trip made us talk about liquidating everything we own and buying a nice driveable RV and just hitting the road for the remainder of our lives. I doubt we'll ever do it, but it sounded good when we were discussing it! Two dogs, two cats, and two old people ... out to see the world ... or at least, the US.
I hope you're doing much, much better now than when you last wrote to me!!! I apologize again that I just now saw it.0October 2019 -
The uneducated masses seem to enjoy such garbage, and I don't mean just shows like The Jerry Springer Show & the like! I just bury my head in a book instead of watching that junk, but I am always surprised at how many people think those shows are funny and entertaining. Pretty sad. Guess I'm a snob after all!0September 2019

Hey, Meyati, are you and your family OK? I noticed you haven't been posting.

About @geekling You might know that I met her personally. She stopped by Boise on her way back from the Salmon River trip. When you meet a person in the flesh they are differant than meeting the only in cyber space. I also am in contact with her on FB. I believe it will be a very long time before she comes back. Hurricane Erma really did a number on her. She has been bound up in red tape. as well as having health issues. I hope this puts to rest any gossip and speculation0October 2018

I'm moving the conversation off of Carool's page. She's admirably planning to take the high road with the Geek when she returns ... no reason to keep her involved here...)
That's right - stalking is exactly what she does. Exactly. And, starting fights is another thing she does - purposefully ... she THINKS she is real sneaky about it ... making digs that most people might not realize ARE digs ... she is mean and cruel and unhappy ... that's the key - she's unhappy. And, I can see why. I might be unhappy in her circumstances, too. I can't imagine that she has many friends with her attitude. (No one ever knows anything (doctors, insurance companies, people here on WhatNext ... ), nothing is ever good enough for her, no one understands, no one admires her enough... )
I have no doubt but that she's very racist, very prejudiced. I see it here - maybe not the racial slurs, but she definitely feels 100X better than most of the rest of us (maybe all of us) - to me that says you look down on all others for whatever reason. I'm sorry that she slurred your family. And, to call you "stupid with a stupid family" ... that goes beyond the pale. She's no doubt jealous. She has nothing but a moldy house and no one. I guess even her feral cats have moved along since she moved out of her house and left them behind. (Not sure she could have caught them if she tried)
I only know one Native American very well. He owns a roofing company here. He is a really hard worker. I always WANTED to be at least part Native American (we called them American Indians, back in my day). I have high cheekbones and always thought it was because of my Indian blood (I think that was romanticizing ... to my knowledge I actually don't have any Native American blood in me ... but I always wanted it.)
BTW, around here, if you don't have a PU, you don't have anything My husband was looking up prices on new trucks just this week - the one he wanted was over $80,000. Sheesh.
Oh well ... I see that the 30 days are about up ... maybe they are up ... so I guess our peace will be over with sooner rather than later. She can't stand not to be here to wow people with her superior knowledge (gag) and to make the lives of some of us miserable. My family knows all about the Geek and they HATE it when I start talking about her (which is only when I have to blow off steam or laugh at her ignorance). They have also loved this reprieve!!!
Won't she enjoy reading these posts?? She will LOVE knowing that she has accomplished her goal of making us unhappy.

I don't check that account very often - I created it mainly to be able to give it out here - I'll give you the email address I actually check more frequently if you write.0September 2018 -
Meyati,
I'm so sorry about Stonewall, and happy you found a new pal for poor Missy. I think this all happened while I had a throat infection and was hardly reading WhatNext, so I apologize that I'm only now offering my sincere condolences.
I hope Missy, your son, and you are adjusting. I believe we'll see our pets in Heaven someday. Barbara0May 2018 -
I looked in PetFinder. Seems like most all of the coonhounds are mixes. I found this one - I think it is a good looking dog. It isn't very big though (by your standards ... by mine it is

I just have to tell you this story that just happened about Cotton. She has a little ball that she entertains herself with all of the time. She gets her feelings hurt if I throw it for her, but she throws it for herself and chases it.
Today, she had it on the landing of the staircase and it accidentally (I think) rolled down. She chased it.
She was sitting down here, with the ball between her paws and I said, "Take it back up the stairs and throw it again." I've never said anything like that to her before. She picked it up, ran up to the landing, rolled the ball back down.
Unusually, my husband was already up and saw it. I was amazed at her understanding. My husband said, "Well, yeah. You talk to her all of the time. Of course, she understands."0October 2018 -
Nice response, meyati, to https://www.whatnext.com/questions/emotional.
I had to quit responding to her posts because she was negative to every response I ever made. She asks questions, but it seems like she doesn't really want answers... and, if she just needs to vent without responses ... I guess that's okay, too (But, it isn't really okay to attack someone - po18guy - for trying to help her. I reread his response when I saw that he was accused of attacking and saw nothing but support. Perspective is an interesting thing...)0September 2018 -
Well, we can agree to disagree!! I don't think she has done anything to earn my respect, but my opinion is just my opinion. Let's hope the upcoming elections will help our country return to normal. Or somewhat normal!!!!!1
How are you feeling, as I haven't heard from you lately? I am cancer free, at least for now. Had a scare last month but it wasn't cancer luckily. But am going in Monday for a procedure on my back to relieve the pain & it better work!
Keep in touch.0August 2018 -
