Now, I get something from WhatNext about every 3 months. I wonder if it is because I'm a head cancer patient, as Greg was also a head cancer patient. Most people have other types of cancers.

I guess I'm spoiled, but it would really be nice to get-whatever you call it-like this at least once a month.

Yay, Meyati! Glad you’re back here!

None of us were getting WN notices recently, until just now. We’re back on track with these.

Hi Meyati-- So glad you are back & hope you are well.

The notices were somehow not making it to all our emails, but starting yesterday they are back with a vengance!
I have at least 40 of them filling up my email--- can we just forget about all those OLD notices-PLEASE COLBY, if you read this!

Meyati, I have been wondering about you too! I'm so glad to see you back.

As for the notifications...sheesh! It's like: "What's next on Steroids" I began with 64 yesterday and they have been coming by the dozens ever since! I did complain when we weren't getting any, but this is frustrating too. I'm hoping it will get back to normal once the notifications have *caught up* from the past three weeks.

Well, I'm glad that y'all are getting things today- as I am not getting any------I enjoyed the variety of questions and diagnosis in the notices- names of new members--which is really sad that more people have cancer.

My son tore a ligament in his knee. He was on the floor, reaching for a screwdriver and stretched at a bad angle. I took him up for his scan last week. He has his pre-op appointment July 1, 2021-at least it's this year. I hope the surgery will be soon after. He's not a happy camper about the wait. The VA waited 6 weeks in the hope it was a sprain.

Meyati, Sorry to hear your son tore a ligament. I hope he isn’t in bad pain and that they move up his surgery. July is an awfully long time to wait for surgery.

Meyati, check to be sure you have the box checked (or unchecked) to receive notifications. I found that my settings had been changed so I didn't get notifications. I think with the new moderator, this site is having some growing pains. You may find that once you get back on track, the floodgates will open and you may think "Be careful what you wish for" but once it dies down, you will have what you had before. I firmly believe that.

And like others have said, no-one was getting any notifications for several weeks until about Tuesday. Then the floodgate opened and WHOOSH, we were all pulled downstream.

So sorry to hear about your son. July IS a terribly long time to wait. Maybe something will come available before then. I hate when the VA doesn't get on things. You would think that since they already waited to see if it was just a sprain, they could get him on the surgical schedule more quickly. Can his benefits cover him to get surgery done somewhere else and they would pay for it?
Will be saying some prayers for you all.

Legaljean----I got your reply---I go over things every so often, as Yahoo will start putting wanted email in the spam folder. You can see how many people responded before you and I didn't get anything from WN. Also, I went over my WN settings. I'm glad to see you in an active role here. It's odd trying to digest a cancer diagnosis-having treatment-- and fitting into a new group. You have really aced that problem.

Meyati, my "active role" only came to be when I reached the realization that I can't seem to keep my opinions to myself. Oh and I got put in Facebook jail for 30 days about 45 days ago so I had to have somewhere to run my mouth. LOL

I hope that people will start coming back and participating.

I know that many people on this site have cancers other than the big pink one that gets all of the attention in society and sometimes in this forum too. I know that many of us who have been trying to keep the forum alive have "the big pink one."

As you know, our fearless and incomparable leader Greg did NOT have the big pink one and he definitely kept things rolling. So PLEASE keep posting and maybe some more people will come out of the woodwork.

legaljen, Facebook is pretty quick these days to imprison people, usually for specious reasons. I’ve gotten one warning, so I’m watching my own big mouth!

And I love your expression, “the big pink one”!
