I have been wondering about some of the people who used to be quite active on the site. Has anyone heard from
@JaneA?@Po18guy?@Lynne-I-Am?@Jayne?

I know there used to be so many active members here. I miss the information and the chit chat.

    legaljen, the emails you listed were redacted. Who were you referring to?

    As I mentioned in a comment of a few weeks ago, I posted a hello on LiveWithCancer’s wall, but I never heard from her.

    I am in touch with Meyati, off this site. I can’t think of anyone else who hasn’t been in touch here recently.

    legaljen, here’s a list of people who used to be active here. I got their screen names from Greg’s wall, BuckeyeShelby’s, and LWC’s. I will write on the wall of some of them, asking how they’re doing. I hope it’s not weird of me to have compiled this list, but it’s in good faith:

    Yes to all those people you listed, Carool, I have been wondering about them too? And I am adding Bug.I am especially confused about why no one is getting any notifications? I reported to Colby that it seems to have stopped about a week ago (last Thursday) and I really think it makes a huge difference. Many times I have only stopped in because of a notification and that prompted me to comment or respond, or learn something! I worry that something is amiss here.

    MarcieB, I omitted Bug’s name because she replied recently to a question.

    I, too, told Colby that I’m not getting notifications. We know how hard Greg worked to develop and grow this site, and that he did so while suffering from various cancers and their treatments. No one here wants WN to disappear. New people are joining, and that’s encouraging. But it’s necessary for any moderator (or whatever the term is) to give close attention to maintenance of the site. I also know that anyone taking care of a website has many other things to do, so I don’t want to sound harsh or demanding.

    Carool, say hi to Meyati from me. She was so interesting, I miss her posts.

    MarcieB I am not getting notifications as well. Does Colby the monitor, ever read/reply to our messages?

    Molly, If you look at the list of questions, scroll down, you will see one where Colby introduces himself again and asks for suggestions. I responded to him by saying I think the notifications stopped coming last Thursday? I have to admit - at first I took it personally, because I thought it was only me who wasn't getting them (we are going to have to change my theme song from The Walk of Life, to You're So Vain...I Bet You Think This Song is About You!).

    Then other people joined in and now I know it is not happening for any of us.I wish I knew how this worked. Is it monitored by an individual who just likes to do it? I always assumed it was part of somebody's job description, (somebody in one of the medical, clerical positions), but I guess not?
    Hey, I was wondering about Meyati too? I hope she is doing well.

    I haven’t seen notifications either. I try to just check on the site every week at least to see what is being posted on the questions. I liked getting the notices. Would be nice to get them again.

    A number of these were people I asked about. I was trying to tag them. I didn’t realize it would cause some email issue. I believe it’s time for me to go. Apparently I’ve landed myself in some sort of WN jail. I seem to be more toxic than chemo, so...

    legaljen, why would you be in hot water? We ALL are wondering about those we haven't heard from in a while, and we are wondering about the "mechanics" of this site, and we are wondering about our new "monitor"! We are also still mourning Greg.

    legaljen, if YOU are in WN jail, so are the rest of us! None of us are getting notified anymore, so what's up with that? As for your things being redacted - did you include an email address? Because that is what would be redacted, I don't think we have ever been permitted to include a valid email address here?

    legaljen, as Marcie said, WN always redacted email addresses. We can contact anyone by writing on that person’s wall, as long as we know the person’s screen name.

    I don't even know how I would go about finding, much less using, someone's email address on here. I know email addresses for a couple of people but would never use them on the site.
    I used to see a lot of people using @ (Name). I thought that worked like #name on Twitter or other social media. That's what I did. I typed @ and a name. So maybe it links to their email, or maybe it's just some little coding thing to prevent something. I have no idea.

    Molly, I am probably in hot water because I refuse to bow and grovel at the feet of one particular poster who not only believes they are superior to all others, but seems to take deep offense if you accidentally say something that might or might not offend them whether or not you meant to do it or even knew enough background to know why it might offend. I hate to say it, but I can think of plenty of intentionally offensive things to say but I don't.

    I'm here. :-D Good list, Carool. I wrote on LiveWithCancer's wall and BuckeyeShelby's wall recently and have not heard from either one. I hope they - and everyone else on your list - are well.

    Only the few favorites are mentioned.The rest of us are just extras that stay invisible.And talking about being invisible I'm not getting the digest.Maybe the rest of the invisibles got dropped out also.LOL! God Bless the VIPS!

    Pauline, I've been dropped too, but I can't or won't keep my mouth shut so I keep popping up. I think maybe I am the reason the site went away. Maybe if I go away, the site will come back.
