I've been sitting back, praying, and watching as some of our members have returned at least for a while. It was good to see Carool, Teachertina, Molly72, MarcieB, legaljen1969, Bug, beachbum5817, Dltmoll, Horselady46, KriddleRN, MLT, Serenity Saturday, Lindy, Child of God 4570, and Pauline J. If I've missed anyone I apologize. It's a good start to regrouping. I do have a question though. What is this "Digest" mentioned a couple of times? Is it some type of reminder? I have "favorites" marked on my computer and I try to take a peek at least at them each day. Some require more time than others. What if we all put WhatNext in our favorites? Will that help us? I liked reading all of your updates, the good and not so good. This is what we need more of. As for me, my second biopsy for lymph node under left arm which was hot on PET was benign thankfully. To be continued.................................

My Oncologist has decided on a chemo/radiation regimen to start. I'll be taking Carboplatin and Taxol for chemo. Each regular infusion will be divided into 3 and that's the dosage I'll get each time. 1/3 of the regular. He's concerned about my tolerating it. I'm more concerned about the Taxol from reading about it. I'll only be going once a week for infusion but daily for radiation. I am an hour from my doctor and the clinic and don't have a car. My niece came down from TN to stay with me and get me back and forth to treatment. She's a retired RN so I will be in good hands. I'll try and log in each day and keep up and comment when I can. Keep up the great work in getting together!!

andreacha, great news re your lymph node! Thanks for the update. And I’m glad your niece will be with you.

From what I know, the Digest is an email we get every so often (daily? I’m not sure), listing new members who have our particular cancer. I never open it, so I’m saying what I remember.

I, too, am glad many of us WhatNext old timers are once again in touch here. I hope more join in. I’ve also noticed newcomers (when I look at the People section).

I wish you as easy a chemo treatment as possible. Please keep us posted, of course.

It's so good to hear the word, *benign,* isn't it? YAY!! We will take that good news and hope for more from you, Andreacha. It sounds like you have some stuff to go through, but it also sounds like your doctors are very sensitive to your needs.I could kiss your niece for helping you.(!)

I had Taxol once a week for 11 weeks. At first it was easy, but I did get a light rash and some lower GI issues (mostly because I have some darn ole hemorrhoids). Then some neuropathy in my feet, so that is why I did not have the last dose. Everyone is different, though, my neighbor had the exact same treatment and she had a much easier time with the neuropathy and no rash at all.

Like Carool says, keep us posted, we are interested in how you are doing.

Glad to see good news about your lymph nodes. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I am glad your niece is able to come and help you out. I am sure that is a relief that you have someone knowledgeable and reliable. Where do you go for treatments? I see you say your providers are about an hour away. Remember, I am from North Georgia. That's why I asked where you go.

In any event, we would love to see you check in frequently but we all definitely understand if you need to rest, relax and just take care of you.

Andreacha, that is great news about your lymph nodes. To sign-up for the WhatNext Digest, go to the WhatNext home page and click on MY Account on the left under your picture. There are choices to click on for how you want to receive communications from What Next. The digest has been the only way that I have ever seen what is happening. I guess maybe I should click on the tabs at the top every now and then. LOL. Keep us posted on how you make out with the chemo and radiation. I am sending you prayers and good thoughts. Take care.
