I hope all of our WhatNexters in and near the east coast are safe and sound. What a storm!
The scenes on tonight's national news were quite something. Please take care.

Bug, thank you for asking!
We here are fine. Lots of food, bought on Sunday. Staying home, of course (but we do that generally, due to Covid).
Following what you wrote, I too hope that everyone here who is affected by the storm is safe.0 -
I am fine. I think we got about a foot of snow and ice. It has been one of the longest lasting snow storms that I can remember, It started here around 1 on Sunday afternoon, and it won't be totally out of the area until 4 today. I shoveled yesterday morning when it was just snow. I had planned to go out in the late afternoon to do more, because the snow had started again and there had been freezing rain. Before I got to it, one of my neighbors had done it for me. That was a very nice surprise. However during the evening, it got very windy and snowed some more. I will be out shoveling again this morning. I know this snow will be heavier than yesterday's. Oh, my aching back. I will be very happy if this is the end of snow for us this year. Punxsutawney Phil better not see his shadow today. I am over winter. I hope everyone else is ok, too.0

@Carool, every time I see coverage of what is going on in the City, I think of you and wonder where you are. I am glad to know you are fine and can wait out the storm. Snow is one thing, but wind and freezing rain can really mess things up! I left an appropriate meme about Punxsutawny Phil on our inboard page. ;-)0

We got quite a bit for Ohio, maybe 5 or 6 inches. My problem I can't shovel my patio between my backdoor and carport because I'm in like a fracture shoe, which is open, so I'd get my sock and dressing wet. And since I'm back on home health since I can't reach my heel well enough to change the dressing myself, my nurse would yell at me... Everyone stay safe!0

My niece lives in Western MA and she said they got several inches of snow, but it was light, powdery, and easy to shovel. However, the Boston area got slammed with more snow and it was wet and heavy. I used to live in Boston and don't miss the Winters. But it seems that the weather everywhere is not what it used to be.0

I have definitely been thinking about you all in the northeast. My parents live in GA and they got snow yesterday. They were certainly further from the coast than I am. I was listening to the news earlier and they were talking about the severe weather along the southern end of I-95. I was thinking "I know there is a lot of snow up north, but what in the world is going on along the southern end of I-95, which would be about Miami.
I looked at the screen and they were showing the southern portions of Virginia and northern portions of North Carolina.
I guess the "southern end of I-95" was pretty relative because there are several hundred miles of I-95 south of where they were focused- between 800-900 miles. LOL
Anyhow, I hope those of you in areas affected by the severe weather are all okay.0 -
Crazy weather this winter. Here, in Michigan, it is SO COLD, the snot in your nose freezes before you can finish filling the bird feeder. (!)0

Hi All! I'm in Minnesota...and no new snow ...but the temps have been well below zero for several days - even during the days - and this morning's negative 19 brought with it a minus 35 wind chill overnight! Going up to a wonderful minus 5 today!
Getting 2nd Pfizer vaccine on Thursday - first time I'll be venturing out in a week. Oh...the many layers one wears!0 -
@Ashera, your comment about layers reminds me of a comment that my friend from Norway used to say. She always said "There is no bad weather. Just bad clothes." In other words, there is clothing for any eventuality. You just have to be dressed right for the one that presents itself. LOL

Ashera, it's great that you're getting the second shot on Thursday!0
