Geekling- would you post this for me? I can't get a link for the question about the Republicans
The very first thing the Republican House did was defund the only agency that regulated and monitored electronic voting machines.
https://www.commondreams.org/newswire/2017/02/07/house-committee-votes-terminate-agency-protects-voting-machines-hacking
This was done in Feb. What upsets me is this did not seem to upset anybody-as everyone was ga-ga over Mar Largo expenses.
Personally, I had nightmares. I kept dreaming that I voted again for my progressive democrats, but the election news was that New Mexico just elected Republicans, and became a hard RED state-instead of being a Progressive Blue Island in a sea of red.0May 2017 -

Oh Dear Geekling: I just read such a sad post you wrote about how could you ever forgive yourself for believing those radiologist's lies; relating to love, sexual intimacy, our Lady parts not working anymore. I relate to you 1000000%.
You are such a gem. I place so much value in and how you say things. I always say that there's no love in my heart. I feel like all my sexyness went down the drain. It's been 3 years since I've had any form of intimacy what so ever. I feel too, that I'm destined to stay this way for however long I have.
Physically it's too painful. Sure, there are alternative "things" to do to and for each other. It's sad. But thank you for sharing and being honest. You are a good person. Thank you.0February 2017 -
Hi, geekling! Just writing to say that I hope your skin surgery went well - or will go well, if you haven't yet had it done. Hugs from your former borough -0February 2017

Geekling, just read that you have squamous cell. I had it IN my breast in the scar tissue from lumpectomy.. Dr was shocked, said it was from radiation. Very unusual to have no symptoms on the skin. Sure hope you can find a plastic surgeon to meet your needs.0January 2017

Hi my teeth-the dentist. One of my great moments LMAO
The 5th i was eating bacon-I gues some rind was on the meat. I bit down, and a side of my tooth came off. levi was staring while I was spitting out bacon and tooth. I finally got around to calling the dentist yesterday. She fitted me in at 7 am, and tomorrow, i'll be fitted for a crown and a temp crown.
Like Sunday night I was so tired I could hardly move. I was picking my teeth with one of those plastic pics that is sorta like an arrow. It got stuck between 2 molars. It wouldn't come out or push in. I kept turning it to get the vanes in line with my teeth.
I decided that my cheek pushed it at an angle, it was poking holes in my cheek, so I got a pair of scissors and cut through the pic next to my gum. Of course I cut the inside of my cheek, and the pic went sprong and cut my gum and poked another hole in my cheek. The little thing is still stuck between my molars.
I fill my mouth with a roll of gauze, and it bleeds pretty good. So I drive myself to the ER. I try to check in-- they won't let you check in- they make you sit in a chair in front of them so they can observe you.
So, I'm playing with the vane with my tongue, and all of a sudden it lines up. I open my mouth and stick both of my hands in and get the vane pushed through toward the cheek. The clerk won't give me new gauze.
I sit and they stare at me. It dawns on me that I'm not swallowing and tasting a lot of blood. i pull the sogyy blood filled gauze out and there is only a tad of bleeding. I think-I didn't go to the doctor when the inside of my mouth was cut in a fight, or thrown or something-- those nylon bristles on the vane were in my pocket-most of the bleeding stopped. If I got an infection- I'd just go in and raise hell at the primary care clinic. Why should a pay these slugs a few hundred co-pay?
last month, I couldn't get in anywhere-need to call for an appointment-and i couldn't get through. My son drove over to primary care and begged for an appointment for me. I saw the doctor the next day. The point is that a young woman with a broken leg in a cast was hopping-checking out. The clerk asked her how she liked the ER there. She had a friend drop her off, and she sat for 3 hours and wasn't checked in at all. She sat with the clerks staring at her. She called an ambulance, because she couldn't take it much more, and she had the ambulance take her to another ER. It took 5 hours to see aq doctor, but she was checked in and she knew that she would see a doctor.
it's not just me being cranky--0November 2016 -

Dermatologists- may the current ones roast in Hades with all evil people
It's now the national cost saving thing to not put in stitches-Thanks stupid Medicare and NIH, and Congress! They won't make an exception for a senior. My PCP rants how they just cut holes and leave patients to go home and try to heal. How does she know they don't heal? Because they go in and see other doctors for complications.
They refuse to consider that a senior or diabetic does not heal in a week. They don't care if the patient has the manual dexerity to clean and bandage the wound. They don't know if the patient is able to follow the instructions or has a clean environment. They don't know if the patient can see well enough to keep the wound clean and dressed. Right now the boney part of my chest is on fire--from a slow healing biopsy and contact dermatittus from the bandaids pulling my skin off, and I keep rotating the bandaids.
I'm told to stay off of my feet and not do anything to tear it open or stretch it out by working muscles. The stupid Feds say that the best way to cut medical costs is to keep seniors walking. The FEDS started a program in the Rocky mountains, because the chance of falling is 4 or 5 times the national average. They are starting special exercise and agility classes, fall counselors, and even send people in your home to make it safer. Yet these dam dermatologists cut us open- don't sew us up and tell us to not move for weeks and weeks, and that's if we don't have complications that hospitalize us-like sepsis--
And that's if you can find a dermatologist that will remove anything. I was listening to a woman that complained that it took 8 months for a cancer to be removed.
I asked my hemotology oncologist if dermatologist took advice from an oncologist about doing a biopsy. Well he got all mad defensive- rude to me--you would have thought that I had asked him who he was voting for and then ran down his choice. Maybe went out and yelled-- Oh he's a moron voting for what's the face--0October 2016 -

Hi, I still have strep. My doctor was explaining false positives and negatives. I didn't whine. I just said- I'm better, my fever never broke. She ran a strep-and it was positive.
My temp was down to 97.4.. I explained it has pretty much been that way, but I get nurses that write or manually enter 98.8. I think that her nurse is wonderful, because let's the actual temp stay in my record. I just said- I have trouble getting medical care, and it's been hard.
With the new antibiotic guidelines -starting with a low antibiotic and going to a stronger one just seems to make my nasty bacteria stronger. She wanted to give me Augmentin, but the network wouldn't let her. I'm in a really sucky era of medical care.0September 2016
