Hi, MLT. Some of us WN oldtimers are writing to others who haven’t been on WN recently, to find out how they are. We’d love to hear how you’re doing.0April 2021

Thank you for responding. I have been told i need to eat 30 minutes before I take the meds. It's all about digestive juices that help breakdown the meds. I eat something and wait 20 minutes and then I start taking the meds. So far minimal stomach issues. Praying that your journey is successful. We are all in this fight together. Bless you and your Prayer Warriors.0February 2020

Dear MLT: thank you for contributing to the radiation fatigue question, but most of all your prayers for healing.
Blessings to you. Be well. Katie0October 2016 -
Just wanted to say thanks for your input and support. I will be sure the keep you posted with everything. My only concern now is having help during recovery. You know how people say they will be there then you don't hear from them again...
I pray all goes well. Thanks again.0May 2015 -

Hi Marcia,
Great to hear from you!! I’m glad to hear you are doing well. I’m sure having over another month of lifting restrictions is hard for you since you are so active. So sorry about Lee having an ear infection. Poor thing, he sure has had a lot of problems since his surgery.
I am feeling better. My thighs still hurt a little, but not as much as they did and all the bruising is gone. I had hemorrhoid surgery with a colonoscopy a week ago. I am feeling better from that although not healed fully and fortunately I did not have a reaction to anesthesia this time. I made sure to tell the anesthesiologist about my negative experience with anesthesia for the fat grafting procedure. Overall I am happy with the way my breasts look although I think I have lost some of the fat that was injected. I meet with Dr. Habash in Feb…..that will be 3 months, which is the time it takes to know for sure how much of the fat will remain. I still don’t know what to do about getting nipples or tattooing. If I remember correctly, you opted not to do it, right? They can also make the tattoo look like you have nipples if you decide not to get them actually constructed. Are you happy with your decision? And I guess you can always have it done if you wanted to, but once it’s done, it’s too late.
We’ve had some sad news. My sister’s son committed suicide Sunday. He would have been 30 this month. He has had some issues: diagnosed as bi-polar, was adopted (which I think may have bothered him deep inside although he was able to meet his birth mom a few years ago), his girlfriend recently broke up with him and his dad broke up his family a few months ago when he announced he no longer wanted to be married to my sister. They were married for 33 years. All during their marriage, (unbeknown to my sister until a few months ago) his “sweetheart” from his college days had contacted him every time she went through a divorce wanting him to leave my sister. He said no every time until recently. Needless to say, my sister is devastated and their son had a very hard time dealing with it. It is all very sad.
Well, I hope you enjoy your time with Lee today. What are your plans for Christmas?

Hi MLT, thanks for following me! but beware because I don’t always know where I am going! ;-) I don’t think that my profile is completely correct because every time I try to update it I fail to do it completely. But I also have a few different BC’s or I guess mixed tumors? I’m not even sure to be honest but every time they do a biopsy on my breast tumors ( which is about once a year ) they turn out a little differently....confusing isn’t it? First it was one thing and then it was another thing, ugh! This is such a fluid disease and it seems to mutate or change at times. But I am not HER2 positive, at least not yet. Have I confused you entirely? But I am scheduled for another breast biopsy soon so maybe I will have a different kind of BC then? What the heck, cancer is a very difficult foe but we can beat it! That is the one thing I am certain of, that they will find cures for all the different variations of cancers one day and I just hope that it is soon enough for all of us on WhatNext and all the other cancer patients fighting now!0December 2014

Hi Marcia, how are you feeling? How did your surgery go? I hope you are doing well and are not in much pain. Praying for a quick recovery.0November 2014

Hi, MLT. I saw your response (to Greg's question about whether or not you bounce back from things) indicating you have surgery tomorrow. Very best wishes to you. You are in my prayers.0November 2014

Marcia, I was at a breast reconstruction gathering last night and I met Dr. Boehmler. I told him the story of "what a small world it is" that he did surgery on you in Ohio and me here. Just wanted you to know he said you were very nice and he remembered you.
So I saw on one of your posts that you decided to have surgery for your abdominal bulge and will have it Nov.3? Praying that all goes well and that it will be successful.

MLT, we should stay in touch. My DIEP is also scheduled for November, on the sixth. Am not too concerned about surgery, as this will be about my 25th time of being put out & cut on! But am sorry I will have to postpone any more training--have been working out strenuously about 5-6x per week, and my P/S says I'll have to stop exercising while I heal. I don't want to revert to my old fatter self and to lose the progress I've made. BUT--am looking forward to that bonus tummy tuck as well as finally having some "normal" sized breasts instead of the DDD's I used to have to lug around, LOL!0September 2013
