appreciate the birthday wish .... and my wish was to get my health back .... I have great support from a terrific family ... like I mentioned ... wish .... nope..... i have it....
what I am focusing on is helping others were I can.... this site is a great source of information and sharing. the sense of community is so important to those who like myself need it.

Hi Greg, I still have strep. I'm on antibiotics. I had to sign a drug contract. I was surprised, but this clinic is down with the druggies. My husband told civilian Drs. I was a druggie-whatever-I was almost laughing when the doctor asked if I wanted to wait a week to get ready for it. I told him that I don't even use cough syrup or aspirin.

Hi Greg, this is Mary in New Mexico. If I sound desperate in reaching out, I am. Today I meet my new primary care doctor. I am so scared. Greg, my body temp is 95.6-to 96.2. That's how I was discharged from the hospital in May with an infection-my temp was 98.2. I've been told that one of the new doctor's nurses has a temp of 94-95, but I'm still so scared. I spent yesterday crying, and I'm crying now. When I was in first grade, the school nurse left bruises on me from trying to make sure the thermometer was in my mouth and my mouth was shut. The other kids at school told the teacher about the nurse.

How do you explain things like I was given an all clear to wear make-up and sunscreen. About a month later I used infant sun screen, no make-up at all.. After 2 days, my right side of the nose and lip swelled up, and blood started seeping on the inside of my nose. What upset me was at the ER, they couldn't decide who to see for follow up-dermatologist-skin problem, ENT-nose, radiologist, the oncologist. I decided primary care. If it was cleared up no foul, if it didn't clear up he could make phone calls and get me in where I should be. He was mad-I should have changed doctors then-but you have to get permission-and my neighbor has been on a waiting list for 8 months now to get a new doctor.

It's not my fault that my doctor made me go through radiation with a low thyroid, i got bit by a dog and got infected, that the nurses didn't know how to take a temp and stabbed my tonsil where it swelled up really big, and the radiologist decided the tonsil was cancer on the CAT scan, and I had strep for 3 months. And he said-I don't do cancer--What does strep have to do with cancer?He takes care of diabetics and heart patients. people in car wrecks or fires have messed up faces. people are born with cleft palates-and surgery improves their quality of life, but not their looks that much-it depends on money and availability of surgery skill. My goofy temp has nothing to do with cancer-and everything to do with doctors.

I just had to put the mask of death on my Walker Coonhound. She got a small puncture in the web of her back foot. She licked and chewed it into a major problem. She's so long and lean, that a huge hood didn't stop her from chewing it up. I put on a padded wire basket muzzle. After a few days, she learned that she could push the muzzle back up on her head and stick her toes through, then she could be very happy and try to chew her foot off. I used sprays, whatever. I was hoping the vet had a magic pill. I threw the muzzle by duct tape just before the visit. Anyway the vet said it was healing well in spite of that tongue. She brought out collars and hoods that I've never seen before. I asked about duct tape. Anyway she gave me an idea of how much duct tape to put on without suffocating her. Her foot is healed, but I've got to keep the muzzle on so the skin can toughen up. She's such a sweet dog. She's never fought the hood or muzzle, but her eyes are so happy when I take them off. I will tell, that she's been a wrecking ball with those things on. She has bright yellow duct tape-Why I bought that color I don't know. The faces of Walkers are pretty much like alligators-long snout, low brow---The Bluetick has a high brow.

What was decided on Craig Thomas enlisting folks for the $75.00 phone survey? Did he ever contact you? Curious...

I'll know tonight and tell you if I have another surgery. It is believed when I suffered the injury in the operating room the cancer was contacted. The question is Is it intact? One dr thinks not.

Hi. U asked me to up date U. Strep gone. Thyroid in range. Heart like heart one of young plow horse. They don't know why. Was told to get new doctor-soon. I'm still very weak. 3 months strep, 6 months thyroid out of range at same time during and after radiation--NOT GOOD-- HMO system went down, so I could call clinics with out getting permission to change and being on waiting list. Staff looked at electronic chart--saw cancer-strep- everything. I C him on 15. He's internist--hope it goes well. Cardiologist said she was going to talk to my old Dr about things.
