Wow, Denise, I have huge admiration for you!!! I thought I had gone through and endured a lot of over my lifetime, but nothing compared to what you have faced. Hugs!0October 2016

DeniseD, loved reading about your dogs and how important they have been to your recovery. That's exactly how I feel about mine! I think if I hadn't had my dogs, I probably wouldn't still be here ... What I won't do for myself, I will do for them - like go for walks, etc.
Just wanted to touch base as one dog lover to another!0August 2016 -
Hi denise. I'm Ron
I am in the 2 week of chemo and radiation at UT hospital in Knoxville. .so far it has not been to bad. The long drive there and back seems to be the worst part. Hope you are feeling ok. Any questions just ask..0May 2016 -
My first oncologist was an incredible jerk I took my family with me for 2nd appt. They hated him worse than I did. Now I have smart and easy going doctors.0February 2015

When I was going through radiation for brain cancer, as soon as the treatment was over we would head over to the ice cream store. I wanted a milk shake before we drove home. My freezer had ice cream at all times.0November 2014

Denise; In reading your journey, I can't believe how close it seems to my journey. I have Follicular Lymphoma on the R side of my neck. I also had the same problems with Drs. for almost a year. Than I went to Shands Hospital in Gainesville and had a very good experience. Everyone was so supportive. Keep up the good work Denise. Maybe we can lick this thing together!!0October 2013

I'm so sorry you lost your husband On to of having this......I was wondering, I have had more than a handful of lymph nodes light up on a petscan a few weeks ago. I am waiting to find out what's going on...They did a needle biopsy. I too was so active up until the last few years....and have had 'mystery' symptoms, etc to the point of family members thinking I am on drugs and...well, all my friends pretty much ran for the hills....The way we found out something was 'wrong' is that I had severe arthritis in my hands and I've had some weird rashes....on and on....anyway, I was just curious about your initial symptoms. I am not looking forward to this call I'm going to get from my doctor this week.....I am not handling this not-knowing very well....0October 2013

I'm very sorry that you had to go broke to be well. I know the feeling.
Not sure if you have time for it now but the State likely has a program which will make sure you don't go hungry or without a way to get to doctors.
I wish like blazes that we had single payor healthcare. Ah well, get well soon, plz.0August 2013 -
Thank you so much for your great advise. I am going for my PET on Wednesday and so not sure yet of the treatments, but an going to fight, Right now the pain from the biopsy is getting better and warm showers are helping. Wishing you well and will stay in touch,0August 2013

Hi Denise! It's been a year since I finished R-CHOP and I had very little side effects from it. I was stage IV B. I had it in major organs. I did and still am tired most of the time but that is my only issue with it. I get a pet scan in 2 weeks, hopefully the cancer is still in remission as it has been since last summer. I just saw my holistic doctor this week and everything is fine my tests with him as well. He got me through chemo without any sickness, besides loosing my hair. You'll do fine, it wasn't near as bad as I thought it would be.0July 2013
