Hi BoseB, how are you? Again, deep sympathy for you losing your Mom. Revenge ('hurt them') is not as good a motive as punitive damages which rehabilate. The executor of your Mom's estate can try to see about damages to the estate (?) and your brother may be miffed that someone ignored him but the person who was damaged is you. You were forced to see what you knew to be your Mom's wishes ignored and your Mother abused. The emotional toll on a frail woman must be devestating. You have just beaten back a cancer and, in that weak state, were forced to watch your Mother physically abused as she lay dying. It is difficult to imagine how you must feel. The rage, and now the fear, must be palpable. Big punitive damages in order to discourage more of this sort of abuse and misbehavior throughout the industry.
My Mom was in a rehab center a time or two. The most aggregious was when I found nurses filing nails and my Mom tied and bound to a wheelchair. The rage and vitriol which poured out of me to these lazy witches. They tried to excuse their behavior but they are supposed to be able to deal with her. She wasnt violent; just repetitive.
Another time, therapists took to arriving, together, at the same time as the aide and Mom wasnt actually getting any therapy. They would sit around together, time would be up and they would leave. Dont ask but the law allowed such behavior. People can be lazy and despicable without fear of punishment. The aide had put Mom's pants on backward. Mom could barely speak by then. Dementia victims, and Mom was no exception, can be very picky and precise about clothes. My Mother was moaning. I explained to the aide and asked her to correct it which action did calm Mom. A therapist spoke up and filled everybody with the news that "some people like their pants on backwards."
Even more amazingly, the senseless therapist phoned me the next day to find out why she had been dismissed and replaced. I told her it was because she had to beg the question.
There really are certains wrongs you can correct if you just put your mind to it. You aren't alone.
Best wishes0December 2015 -
I am so very sorry to learn that your mother passed away. May the Lord bless you and give you peace. Big, big hugs.0December 2015

The personality of doctors very as do patients therefore you have to know how to approach your doctor in a discussion about how you prefer to hear the details of the procedures, tests and treatments of your disease.
Evaluate your doctor’s methods of dealing with patients and then frankly tell him of your wishes in dealing with the details in such a way that you can handle them without your anxiety level going so high that it upsets you emotionally.
Only you can bring this matter to his intention by being open and candid in your wishes. Most doctors would definitely appreciate this information so that they can better deal with keeping you comfortable and obtaining the objectives of your treatment goals0November 2015 -

It may be it would be wise to educate all of your medical staff about this matter you have with details both verbal and graphics. My wife was a dental nurse and could be chair side with the doctor during dental operations. She said other people’s blood did not bother her but she cannot deal with her own medical issues without her anxiety level going high. She asked the doctors to just tell her what to do and for them to just do what was necessary.
As a suggestion when you walk in with the nurse clue her into your needs like asking for a room without graphics on the wall and have the doctor “soften” how he describes your treatment plan and test results. Develop another things that need changing to make your journey easier. If sure they will cooperate in making you more comfortable during your visits.
Good luck.0November 2015 -

many tribes are still run by women. Many of the pueblo tribes, a man can't get a divorce, but the woman can--- It used to be that she put his saddle and guns out front-and that was a legal tribal divorce. Now they throw everything out in trash bags.
The Spanish and American governments didn't want to recognize and eal with women.so the tribes became democratic, where the tribe elected male leaders, but they do what the women want. Narcotics is changing this because these drunks are raping the women and kids. Gone are the days, when Chief Crazy Horse, head of the Sioux Nation police went into a tribal council, and he arrested a chief from another nation for raping a young widow of a warrior. They had court- the whole family was stripped of all possessions. The wives and children went to live with their parents. The widow was compensated with horses, blankets, guns, a food supply- the rest of the goods were distributed to the tribal poor-elderly parents that lost their sons, other widows, orphans. The rapist was stripped of his office, and sent out from the tribe without even a knife for a few years. If he showed up at any Sioux Nation home or group of homes, they were justified in killing him. He was kicked out of his clan. This won't link to your question0November 2015 -
Hi
I noticed from your comments that you had the same diagnoses as myself. I was first diagnosed October 2015 and am cancer free for one year thank God.
You are 3 years cancer free. Did you change your diet or do anything else after surgery?0November 2015 -
Boise- you are a genius-- I really like your question about reading habits.0November 2015

History-biographies---Where else does a French Baron, under Napolean basically say, I'm paraphasing-not much, "The only good thing I can say about the colonel, is that he's always dressed immpecabley." What did he have against the colonel. besides the colonel staying in Paris with the ladies, except for this one battlle against the Spanish? Too many things to count.
How did the Baron survive the French Revolution? He was disquised as a girl, and put in a convent until he was 13, then he was pulled out and and put in as an enlisted man with the Hussars, French Special Ops, in Italy. He took control of a situation and captured Austrians when he was 15. His career ended, when he was shot in the knee in Algeria, a general by that time. His leg was amputated
I'm Old School. The combination of hypothyroid and vitamin B problems make my eyes light sensitive, so a Kindle would do me poorly. Head radiation probably didn't help as I was told light sensitivity can be a very normal side-effect. I like history, especially, autobiographies, and biographies near the source.
Right now, I'm looking into Asian Jewish history. Did you know that President Sun-Yat had a general called 2 Gun Cohen? Wnen Cohen died in Canada during his 70s, that both the Nationalist Chinese and Tapei and the Chinese Communist governments sent envoys to Cohen's funeral? During WW ll, that the emperor of Japan had spiritual advisors with him when he met all foreigners, and one of the advisors was a Lithuanian rabbi? along with the head Japanese Rabbi. It drove the Nazis insane. The Japanese army moved the head rabbis to secret army bases in the mountains. Then the Japanese settled thopusands of Baltic Jews in Shanghai and Manchuria. The Hall of the Righteous in Isreal honors several Japanese Imperial Army and Navy officers, along with a Dutch and Japanese diplomats. Read "The Fugu Plan" The Nazis wanted the Japanese Navy in Shanghai to load Jews into useless freighter, weld the hatches shut, and tow the ships out to drift. The Japanese did not do that, and did not insult the Nazis. They sent the nazis to Tokyo to get permission from the emperor, who sent them to an army committee, who referred them to manchuria, etc.
Then a Brazilian army Sgt that spent 3 years marching to Rio de Janero to complain about how poorly the enlisted were treated, and Brazil passed laws for better rations, etc. You just don't find this in fiction.0November 2015 -
Hi, I just wanted to say-Good morning. I hope that you have a good day.0October 2015

Hii BoiseB, I think miracles do happen. The fluid drained from my chest cavity tested negative for cancer cells, the area around the aortic artery is an inflammation, and the biopsy for the spot on my lung wasn't necessary. The CT scan to assist with the needle placement for the biopsy showed that the spot on my lung had gotten smaller! I think it must be a God Thing, don't you?0September 2015

This won't post on your question. My father chased me with a belt, an uncle and the doctor were chasing me-When they caught me, I got my shots, but I kicked and bit.
First grade: I stood in line and watched those needles go into arms. Some kids cried. I bolted, the principal, nurse and teachers tried to trap me. I was on top of the desk kicking them in the face. I overturned coffee cups, glasses-pitchers of water and coffee all over the records on the principals's desk. The kids behind me took off screaming. I managed to jump, in an escape manuever, into the vaccine vials, crushing them. My family doctor filed that I was allergic to shots with the state and school. There wasn't any challenge to that at all.
As an adult, when the USN said that I needed a shot, I would stand in a corner, facing the corner, or wrap my arms around a pillar to keep myself in control. When my husband was hoem, he went up with me, and he'd put his arms around my waist, and I held him. I bit him a few times. I watched blood draws and they didn't bother me at all, and I found out that if I watched the needle I could stay still. When somebody objected, my husband or kids asked them if they wanted to be beat up and bit..
I went to a Walgreens for a flu shot- and the pharmacist said that I couldn't look. He kept saying just a second- and I jumped-boy did that hurt. Some doctor wanted to do one of those sipine shots-injections in the spine. I jumped while the needle was in. The doctor told me to tell every doctor that I jumped. Some argued with me-I told them that I'd sue from being paralyzed. They became agreeable.
So being scared of shots, needles are not a cancer problem, especially if you jump on a desk and kick an adult in the face.0October 2015 -
Dear Friend;
I read one of your posts about the futon mattress. I would love to know more about that as my brother suffers from too much mucus. And, the drink information was interesting. Thank you so much for your help.0October 2015 -
Boise, thank you for having the non-cancer question. Cancer rules our lives, and it's nice to take a break from it and laugh or, even just a tiny smile.0October 2015

I just wanted to take a second and say...thank you! I admire, respect, n look forward to seeing your comments and advice:) you are absolutely right that it's ok to cry, curse, throw things - anything that can relieve some of the stress we all feel. But the most important thing is we all believe in ourselves, that we can handle and BEAT the cancers we have!! If , like mine, it's incurable,we can still fight it and make it just a part of us. It does not define us or stop us from living!! YOU, help me to remember that when I see your comments to me n to others!! So again, thank you You are very much appreciated n respected by me and I'm sure many, many more on here!!0September 2015

ivyJ posted an update For all who thought my taking graviola/soursop for my cancer was nonsense...listen to this. I had a PET-ct two weeks ago and just got the results today. My cancer has not advanced since last July 2014. Cancer, which shows as a bright flash on the film, has actually dimmed during the last 3 months. Two years ago I was so ill that my Oncologist said I would not go into remission and would die in a year. In April 2014, I had a new tumor. I start taking 1300mg of pure Graviola each morning and again at night. I bought it from Amazon.com and I suppose they sell it in the health food store. Make sure the label reads "Pure Graviola ." Of course staying in prayer or meditation can help and a pastor prayed a miracle for me. I want people to know what Graviola has done for me. It not good for people with low blood pressure. That 's the only warning. If it works after three months, please pass the word along. I fight a good fight and have never indulged in self-pity. I also take Beta Glucan (builds the immune system. - I had been of chemo for 3 months and I improved while on Graviola and Beta Glucan. Gm BoiseB. Ty for for your response. A member on here gave me a number to a clinic out here that I'm really excited to go. I need this like yesterday. I really have to cleanse my soul about my journey. I haven't really been able to talk about it with my family. They just assume hey your cleared it's done move on kinda thinking. So I don't discuss or mention much about what it is I'm going thru eternally. I mention I'm in pain but in one ear out the other. But I appreciate your kind words and helpful suggestions. God bless and take care0July 2015

I think that road rage is often a form of rape--How often are women the victims- and some end up with a battered raped woman driver? Road rage is given as an excuse for -I want to rape and batter a woman-especially in public-- People don't call them rapists, they say road rage and the woman caused it.0May 2015
