No, I wouldn't expect it after the first treatment, but within the first 3-4 days, expect it to start. And strange gurgling in your stomach & intestines. It's normal. I ate a bland diet, and foods that cause constipation (to offset the diarrhea). Oh, and I did also feel fatigue/lack of stamina. That started within the first few days, and seemed to get worse for a few days, and then leveled out (didn't get worse). It was all manageable and I was able to drive myself to and from my treatments. I was Stage III also, but my onc decided against the brachytherapy (YAY!); I just had the external radiation. This may sound funny - I no longer take my digestive tract for granted! It was SO good to get back to normal!! Best wishes for your recovery.

I don't know what you are talking about.
IF it's about what to do when the Docs say nothing more can be done we talk about the end of life on this site all the time. We can fight tooth and nail but when everything has been tried and there is nothing else offered we need to be able to face the end with dignity and use the wonderful service of Hospice. If that's negative I don't think so. We talk about a lot of things other than cancer on this site and that's what makes it so interesting. We say what's on our minds and that's good. I offer positive things to people all the time and am always putting up new studies so maybe you got the wrong impression of me. I think you are dead wrong.

tampa83, glad to see you are doing well after your port insertion. Will be thinking of you on Thursday when you are at chemo. Remember to stay hydrated. Hopefully pre meds. they give you beforehand will keep the nausea away. Most side effects I had were two or three days after chemo. Take care.

Gosh hopefully your infusion center will be more helpful to you than the nurse you had. They will tell you when you can take the Nausea med as they really load you up on anitnausea that has extended coverage for as many as 72 hrs post chemo. They will tell you. Whatever you find out or don't find out . My Doctor always says" There is no excuse for having Nausea and Vomiting after Chemo". So that means CALL them for assistance. Now a days chemo isn't what it used to be. Don't listen to all of the reports.

Hi, Tampa. You don't give much personal info so here's mine. I'm 74, DX with Stage 2C serous uterine. NED for a year. Had chemo, no radiation due to age. Reason I put age in you may relate more to someone in your age group, have children, etc. regardless, here for you. Judy

Hello and welcome, we are happy to have you with us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

    https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/endometrial-uterine-cancer

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Just click this link to invite them to join. http://www.whatnext.com/recruit-a-friend
