BoiseB--I can sure relate to your "toxic mom" comments. Mine would sob on the phone whenever she asked about my cancer treatments and I told her about them. I finally told her, "You're not helping me feel any better!" and she stopped doing that, finally. But she told everyone who would listen at her assisted care facility that I was "hanging by a thread"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi BoiseB
So sorry for all you have gone through and still dealing with. I can also relate to your comment about your mother. My mother is a totally nasty person. For the last 9 months I have had no contact with her, but she still leaves messages on my phone complaining of life even though she knows my husband has recurrent cancer. She has never mentioned it, offered no words of sympathy. I did a lot of research into Narcissistic Personality Disorder and realised this is my mother completely. Your mothers response to you Cancer - all about "her" - sounds like she may be similar. Helped me a lot to understand what I was dealing with and most of the advice is to stay away from them as they never change and just ruin the lives around them. All best xx

I had a FU appt with my surgeon and she said I could use whoever I felt most comfortable with, but she did confirm that the radiation dr usually orders a FU mammo 6 mo after radiation-I thought it w/b 6 mo since my last one. i went ahead a did the mammo now and everything came out good, but i will try to stretch things out between rad/med onc so i only see 1 of them every 6 mo but will take awhile as not they all come due around the same time

thanks BoiseB-since your in my area it was helpful about all the policital power stuff-I think I will call my facilitator nurse and maybe change dr to all from the same hospital. I don't really have any complicated issues so doesn't seem too many followups are necessary. Good luck with your journey

Holy cow, BoiseB, I read about your non disability ... how are you making it?

I got turned down for disability and hadn't any more strength to fight with them. What the disability Judge said to me was really beyond belief but I was so tired and running on empty that I just nodded my head and went back home to sleep. My SS check barely pays for gas. I keep trying to invent adorable things folks might have interest in and buy but, at the moment, my pathway goes to broke very soon. I really don't know what to do.

I just LOVE your answer about surviving and how we use the gift of that second chance we have been given! I have been hurting this afternoon, and your response was so helpful to me - to remind me that God has freely given us the gift of another day, and that a gift has no strings attached! So when I have a day where I don't feel up to doing something monumental, it is okay not to do so! Thank you for your perspective on that! God bless you as you heal!

BoiseB, I think it is possible you are a pint low on vitamin B-12 because what you describe is exactly that. Why not ask the docs for a shot? See if it makes a difference. If they won't give it, drop me a note & I'll find you a way to get it as a bacteria. The B-12 pills they sell are useless, hardly absorbable and so much poison.

Pomegranates are in season right now. They have lots of nice vitamin C & A too so you can heal better.

Best healthy wishes for a better recovery of your health

Sorry your cancer is back. Did they not offer you chemo this time?
I just started my journey with uterine cancer and I have days of panic.Had an early stage but the cell is rare and aggressive and has the tendency to come back .

Hi.... Thank you again for the prayers. Question though... Mom found out that she has a cyst on her ovary (bigger than her ovary)... Was that something that happened to you as well?

i see my medical oncologist on the 9th and I will ask him. I have never been referred or approached by a nutritionist. All 3 of my dr's are not connected. I go thru Misti, St Al's and an independant. I am so tired already of everyone having to FU but not communicating even though I have requested & given permission

    SOMETHING TO REMEMBER!
If you are suffering from a disease, or a chronic medical condition, you may wonder if you can ever be healed. The Bible has good news for you!
While doctors and medicine are a gift of God – and He certainly uses them to bring healing – His power is infinitely greater than any human wisdom or prescription. In fact, He “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20b).

Throughout the Bible, God encourages us to call upon Him for healing. He says in Exodus 15:26b, “I am the LORD who heals you,” and we call Him “Jehovah Rapha” because He is the God of healing. Psalm 103:2-3 says, “Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits – who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.”AMEN

Read about your experience with the TSA. I'm so very sorry this happened to you. What is happening in this Nation is appalling. Maybe it was a small stroke of luck that my brush with cancer was a decade plus ago. I flew internationally after the treatment on (just lucky I guess) the very day Bush the Younger instituted the 3 ounce bottle and quart plastic bag rules. On the other side of the carry on screening machine, the TSA agent had all my vials and bottles in his hand while a woman began to explain the new rules. I plucked a single bottle of cream out of the dude's hand saying "Well, you can't have that. it is for cancer." At that moment, everything fell out of his hands and back into my bag and I continued on to my plane.

I've not ever been through the scanner. I always demand to be "patted down." Half the time there aren't women around to do it so they wave you through. The other half of the time, the woman is actually a policewoman who knows how to do a search. Of course, I've not ever flown directly into Idaho but I have done Salt Lake and Vegas and both North and South California and So Fla international airports as well as NYC.

As an aside, most SW Airline terminals skip the scanners completely. Don't be humiliated. Be angry. A piece of cargo is treated more kindly and with greater respect and freedom than are you. I hope we can effect some sort of change to the better in our lifetime.

@BoiseB- We've actually had some rain-it's reduced the fires, put some out. We aren't hardly getting snow packs in the mountains anymore.
We usually average about 6 inches of rain a year and 4 the last 3 years we got almost 2 inches a year. What's bad is that all of the ash, burn slash, rocks, etc roll down the mountains into the streams and rivers, and what fish we had are being killed from that. Then villages are being covered with mud and ash slides if they get a decent rain.
Did you hear about the widows of the AZ Hotshots being screwed? Before this happened, I've been signing petitions to protect Hotshots. They were fighting a fire here a few weeks B4 they were killed.
