I am posting this on your wall rather than answering your question. EC is a nasty cancer that they don't know much about. It has only recently been upgraded from a rare cancer to its own category. It is still rare in women. From my own experience it acts differently in women. Mine jumped from the esophagus and stomach to the ovaries and uterus. I believe at one time you mentioned that your mother had some trouble with her overies please see a gynocoligist about this. Get a second opinion and do research on what new therapies are out there. You are lucky that it is only stage II. However this is a wake-up call. Now is the time to fight don't let fear paralyze you. This site can be a great help to you
In the mean time I will recommend your mother to my prayer groups0January 2014 -
When I got a second cancer and Esophagesl cancer returned I was devastated. Then I found these two articles and I found them helpful

I hope these are helpful. I am sending prayers your way0March 2014 -
Hey OneHeart, you have been on my mind and my heart all day today. How did the doctor's appointment go? I have been praying and my friends have been praying too. Just remember whatever he or she told you that God is there for you and He will see you thru. I just hope the appointment went well for you. Please let us know how it went and how you are. I am here any time you need me! God bless!0January 2014

Sweetie, I know that you are discouraged and frightened because the cancer is back and I can't blame you. I am concerned about you and how you are doing. Please let us know how you are. I am still praying for you and your family. I know when the cancer comes back it breaks your heart and your spirit.
My journey started in Feb. 2012 when the doctors told me that I had stage IIIB BC and that it had metastasized into my lymph nodes (13 of them were cancerous). I had my 1st mastectomy in March of 2012. I had to have 14 rounds of chemo and 33 rounds of radiation. After that was all over, I thought well I'm on the up side now but I got a huge abscess under my left armpit and had to have surgery. They had to leave my wound open to drain. It had to be cleaned and dressed twice a day, every day for 5 months. The doctor finally did some skin graphs and after 2 months it finally healed as good as it was going to heal since it was in my radiation area and the skin was totally dead. It wasn't easy but God had me and I knew that He would sustain me and take care of me!
About 2 months after the wound healed up pretty good, it was time for my mammogram and they saw something suspicious. But they told they really didn't think it was nothing to worry about. So 2 weeks later when the doctors told me that I had cancer again last year in March in my other breast I totally lost it! It took me days to pull myself together to be able to function any at all. I had to get a grip on myself and realize that God still had me in the palm of His hands and that if it was His will then He would give me the grace to get thru it again. I had my 2nd mastectomy in April 2013. I didn't have to have any chemo or radiation this last time, thank God. I was only stage 1B the last time. Know that you are stronger than we think we are and I know that you are going to face it head on! God gives us the strength to bare all that we have to encounter in our lifetime.
I told you all this to let you know that this journey can be the hardest thing you ever have to face in your life but God is there for you and He will see you thru no matter what the outcome is. God be with you! Please keep holding on to your Faith and His strength to bring you thru!0February 2014 -
WE must try and stop the process that is causing the cells to run wild. Our Killer T Cells know how to do this and have fallen down on the job. Just taking Chemo and Radiation is like bailing out the water from a row boat but never fixing the hole.
Check out the book THE CHINA STUDY and this site below AND his facebook page.
Raw Foods (NO Grains) Juicing and Anti Cancer Supplements.
Nothing is for sure but this sure can't hurt. Usually it's not that it came back but the problem still exists. Chemo and Radiation do NOT Stop the Process just bail out the water.
Get Busy....do some research.

Thanks for the update Ashley, I am glad your mother is doing well. Have you heard anything about the tumors on her overies?0September 2013

Hi Ashley.
You mentioned that you are just getting started on research. Here is a link to a very good basic source http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/wyntk/esophagus
I also subscribe to a newsletter from www,QualityHealth. They have a newsletter for cancer survivors it has well documented information about cancer and each issue has two nutritional recipes Their recipes are not the ususal boring nasty "healthy recipes these are yummy. My son who is a very picky eater loves many of these and asks for them frequently. I hope I have helped you with your research0September 2013 -

Ashley what you asked if what has happened to your Mom is what happened to me. The answer is yes. One thing I have discovered that Esophageal Cancer is rare in women. That being said I believe it acts differently in women. Metatasizing to the overies is one of the ways it acts differently.0September 2013

Hi, OneHeart, been thinking about you and your mom...and saw your paintings for your mom. Beautiful and encouraging. One of my daughters (Bonnie) is moving back in just as I'm going to be returning to work on the 8th. I am glad, she's a big help around the house and goes with me to the gym, It motivates me to push myself, and I am joking with her to "try to keep up!" haha! stay strong, Gigi0September 2013

When I look back on being an involved daughter to both my mom and dad (mom with Alzheimer's and dad with COPD and CHF), I wonder how I did it. I moved from another state after 22 years and moved in with my parents (everything was in storage for 7 years). I kept them both at home till their death. My siblings opted not to be involved. Needless to say I learned A LOT. I believe it was harder for me to watch than for them to experience their fate.
Be a daughter. Question things you don't understand. I suspect you are a resilient woman who will get up each day, put one foot in front of the other, do what needs to be done, learn from the experience and pass on your new-found knowledge.
YOU have already reached out and found valuable resources. Those things weren't available when I went through it.0August 2013 -

Prayer for Healing Cancer:
"In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I ask all carcinogens be neutralized right now and escorted from their body. For any medicines given to me may they have no harmful side effects but only do what the doctors benevolently intended for them to do.
I speak death to all cancerous cells in her body right now, that these would die as befits righteousness. Heavenly Father, I ask you to flush these dead cells out of my body and heal the damage they have done.
Heavenly Father, please repair the DNA damage radiation has done to her body and cells. May I grow in wisdom and love. May I grow in faith and hope. May I be blessed in all I undertake.
I break any generational curses of cancer upon this family, in Jesus' name. I break the empowerment and assignments given any demons on their property and environments, especially idols and charms. I command all evil influences to leave me right now.
For anyone who would work or conspire against me I bind any unclean spirits over them and their properties to silence & impotence. I ask these people to be drawn toward salvation in all areas of their lives.
I ask this in Jesus' holy name, Amen."

Hi again; Sorries to disturb but for your Mom's plight please do not give her an evening smoothie. It won't be much easier for her to keep down than solid food. The reasoning behind the particular juice I gave you is that it is very bland along with being nutritious. The reasoning behind a juice rather than a smoothie is so that her body doesn't react to the extra work of needing to digest food (and toss those cookies because it is too much work after the daily treatments). The clear juice, without the insoluble fiber the body normally needs to pick apart in digestion, is nearly ready to go directly into her bloodstream as energy with little work or effort from the body because the body recognizes the juice as being the chemicals it needs to fight the cancer. I wanted to emphasize juice (no fiber) over smoothie (fiber) so, hopefully, your Mom needn't have the daily extra pains she has been suffering. Keep your chin up.0August 2013
