    Looks like I also had thyroid cancer. Either metastatic from tonsil or from this latest. Pathology will have answers this week.

      Geesh, Greg what else??!!! Maybe, when you think about it, it's a good thing because if they had not found it, you would be in worse trouble down the line.

      Hopefully that’s taken care of too! It was caught before you even knew it was there! Let us know for sure if you find out anything else. I hope you don’t have to do any more treatments any time soon. Hang in there!

      Two for one deal in the OR? Well, I'm glad that they looked around and found it. Hopefully, this surgery will have you "good to go" for springtime.

      Good grief! Maybe they should check your left little toenail, too! Well, at least they found it and hopefully took care of that, too. You really don't need to collect diagnoses, 'kay?

      That happened to me when I was diagnosed with a second cancer. The esophageal cancer metastasized to my ovaries and I also had uterine cancer. I hope you don't have to have two oncologists and if you do I hope they get along.

      Last spring I had a needle aspiration and the fluid sent to the lab. Results came back "questionable" so they wanted to do a biopsy "just to be in the safe side". It was a surgical biopsy, rather than just a needle biopsy. When I woke up in recovery I discovered it had been much more radical; it felt like he'd gone in with a backhoe! One of the few times I've asked for pain meds. Very painful, long recovery period. I had not planned on that at all. It really messed up my summer plans.

      Oops, didn't mean to mislead. Surgeon was cleaning out fluid sac and a bunch of scar tissue. NO malignancy! Surgery was nasty but relieved that everything came up negative.

      Wow. I'm sure glad they caught the thyroid issue while they were in there and were able to hopefully get it taken care of at the same time. Enough with the cancer, already!!

      When I had my first colon surgery in 2014 that's when they saw the spot on my liver. Which ended up being cancer.

      Great that they got it all. That may have had something to do with your blood pressure issues. Hoping for a speedy recovery! And yeah when I had my surgery, they ended up scraping my brain stem. Anyway I was supposed to come out with a slumped shoulder. But there was way more than they anticipated. I have lots of damage to my throat.
