I received my first email in months!!! I was also able to reset my password for which I am thankful. Are other folks receiving emails and most importantly, HOW IS EVERYONE? This site helped me through my breast cancer journey that began in October 2014.

Yay, DoreenLouise! Yes, it seems someone is attending better to this site recently.

I’m fine, thank you. It’s great that you’re back! I hope others will be, too.

Yes! I does seem to be working better. We have had such a long time of glitches I think even the most determined of us was ready to give up. But, it has been wonderful to communicate with each other again. We are grateful to whoever is responsible. Like bug says, "...fingers crossed!"

Checking in here for the first time in a while. At 6 yrs+ 3 mos., my MO agreed I could stop taking Letrozole, because my metabolism had slowed to the point where I'd started to regain weight; and my osteoarthritis was advancing--I now have L3/L4 radiculopathy due to "severe degenerative disc changes," causing right-sided sciatica. That and a bad bunion, ingrowing toenail, and bone spur under a painful toe-tip callus (socks hurt like hell and wearing closed shoes) are making exercise difficult. OA is also hitting my L index finger, making playing stringed instruments quite challenging--but I'm still soldiering on, teaching some dulcimer & a guitar workshop at a festival this weekend.

I had a mild COVID (Omicron "classic") infection at the end of January; and got my second booster in late March.

But my ocular melanoma tumor seems to be stable (I get ultrasounds & checkups 4x/yr, and liver MRI/chest X-rays twice a year), knock wood. And in June we hope to celebrate our 51st anniversary; our son got married in New Orleans in April (the wedding weekend was wonderful), and he & his wife just returned today from their postponed honeymoon in Spain. (It was her birthday, and there was a rock festival in Barcelona).

Whoops--my cat sat on my keyboard, stood on my wrists while I tried to type, and wiped out half a sentence--meant to say "socks hurt like (you-know-what) and wearing closed shoes sockless gives me blisters."

ChicagoSandy, congratulations on your son’s marriage! And on having a stable situation with your ocular melanoma. And on your 51st anniversary!

And, most of all, on having a cat!

    Good to hear.

ChicagoSandy, you are keeping on keeping on! I am impressed that you are not allowing things to take you out of the game. I am also impressed that you play the dulcimer? I have a very good friend who used to live in Indiana, but now she is here and she still travels to attend festivals (a lot in the Indie area). She also gives lessons and plays so beautifully! The dulcimer has it's own unique sound.
