I am worried about a LOT of people we haven't been seeing here?0
-
Hey folks, check in- just a quick hello to say "I'm still here." If you are wandering away and don't want to participate- I get it. Even an "I'm stepping away" would be nice just so we know if people are just taking a break or if there are issues. Lots of people still wanting to be supportive.

Bug, Iโm worried about them, too. A few months ago I posted on their walls. No answers. I know you wrote on LWCโs wall.0
-
Perhaps the fact that the "message" announcement on our individual email is no longer working is the reason that people are not participating.0
-
I just realized that it's been a loooong time since I've received an e-mail update link to this site, so I logged on. It looks like I'm not the only one. I hope you all are doing well.0
-
I don't come on too often but I did today and noticed many new people but not a lot of the people I use to see and that helped me in the beginning of my "journey". Of course it's good to see Bug and MarcieB. Carool, Lynn-I-Am, and Meyati. I'm hoping the others are like me and doing well, busy with their lives.
Maybe because Gregg is no longer with us and the site just isn't what it was?
I may be back soon tho'. Tests coming up, tumor on my liver. It's in a precarious place so they don't want to do a biopsy. MRI coming up end of month.

banditwalker, Iโm sorry youโre going through more medical events, and I hope, of course, that the tumor is benign. We are here for you. And WN seems to be on an upswing.
BTW, I just realized where โBanditwalkerโ derives from (maybe): Your dogโs name is Bandit.

Yes @Carool. Bandit was my dogs name. He was diagnosed with cancer 3 weeks after I was. I rescued him and only had him for 2 1/2 yrs. He was 7 1/2 when he passed. Other than our family dog when I was growing up he was the best dog I ever owned. He was my shadow and I could let him off leash without him leaving my side. By the looks of him you would think he had some kind of terrier in him but I did one of those DNA tests for dogs. Ended up he was Cocker Spaniel, Corgi, Shar Pei, and Treeing Walker Coonhound. He loved to go on trail hikes so we would take a trip to the park or beach every day. Thanks for letting me reminisce about him.
I'm not worried about the tumor actually. I'm just tired of having to have a body part removed every couple of years
Glad to hear WN is coming back. So many people can make good use of this site. I'll try to come on more often and of course will update on my goings on. You kids are the BEST!!0 -
Rustysmom and banditwalker, itโs great to hear from you. Iโve missed you. Hugs to both of you. banditwalker, Iโm sending very best wishes that the tumor is indeed benign. Do please keep us posted.0

banditwalker, thank you. I thought that when I noticed your profile picture tonight (though Iโd seen it before, of course). Iโm sorry heโs gone. I wish animals lived much longer than they do.

Hi kids. I'm still kicking. June 2020 to June 2021 was really sucky. Back when I was first diagnosed with the uterine cancer, it was during a hernia repair back in 2011. In 2020 my mesh got all gummed up. Had to have another surgery to fix the mesh. And now, I'm just like Barbie - no belly button. Well I got infected and ended up in skilled nursing.
I eventually was kicked out and got to go home. Next I somehow ended up with a blood blister on my shin the size of a softball. Cellulitis. That eventually healed. Then when my podiatrist was doing a recheck, he decided to peel calluses from my feet. Oh look a blister that hasn't blossomed. Let's blossom it. He stabbed the bottom of my foot. I screamed. There was a hole in my foot. And I had home health care. I made it 3 months. Infection. Surgery. He had to scrape my calcaneous - heel bone. I was non weight bearing for weeks. He wasn't sure how well I'd heal. I did much better than expected.
So between the tummy, the shin and foot, I was in either hospitals or skilled nursing for almost 6 months. And all in the middle of covid. Somehow I'm still covid free. I've moved because I can't do.
So that's been the big thing in my life. The only cancer in all that, when the sent the glob from my mesh to pathology, there were a few cancer cells so I'm on a hormone blocker.

BuckeyeShelby, it's good to see your update. I am glad you are doing okay now. You definitely went through a LOT in a short time. So glad to see you're back. Hopefully some of us who used to participate will come back around more often.

Hi, legaljen1969 and BuckeyeShelby! Good to see you here again! This is Carool. I have to change my handle here to Carool.
Iโm glad WhatNext is back. Miss Greg, of course. Iโve been okay so far. Havenโt yet gotten COVID and hope to never get it. I hope we hear from other WN friends!1 -
Hello, friends! I'm back on WhatNext and so, so happy to see your names. I've missed everyone. I hope all is well with each and every one of you. You are like family to me. Hugs to everyone.

Hey, Bug! Good to see you here! Carool here (must get Carool back from LoveCats!).

Hi everyone, great to see some familiar names from the prior WN community. It does seem a bit strange not having Greg's interactions since I feel he was the cohesive glue that helped bind and make these interactions so enjoyable. He is sorely missed as is his creative furniture pieces.
My wife and I are still doing things right and surviving. Treatments continue for her, I am possibly in worse condition than she is and am happy to see a resumption of this community.
