Want to Cry (Happy)

I just called the place that fitted me from my breast prosthesis/form to find out who I pay for my cost share of what remained after insurance paid. I found out they just wrote off my patient cost share and the order has been put in. I had been waiting to get my EOB to find out my cost share and with terrible mail here, I just got it- even though the authorization was done on 12/14. That is $700 I don't have to come up with.
The lady had told me if I couldn't pay it, they would help me out or work with me on it. I had no idea they planned to just completely write it off.
Happy tears for this face today.

@andreacha, That was definitely welcome news. I had the fullest of intentions on paying for it, and I have an email in to them stating the same. One of the owners told me this is pretty much standard practice for them. I know they are very generous. It wasn't that I couldn't or wouldn't pay. I didn't even ask for consideration. I just called to let them know I had just found out my cost share yesterday and needed to know whether I paid them or the vendor that manufactures the form. It wasn't clear. She said it was done now and I should find a way to pay it forward. Our mail is just notoriously slow and it took forever for the EOB to get to me. I had to call my PCM about another referral and he reminded me I could have looked it up online too.
Anyhow, I will definitely find some way to pay it forward.0 -

@BuckeyeShelby, I was not expecting them to write it off at all. I had been putting a little money aside knowing I would have some copay due. When the lady was here doing my measurements she had indicated that they would "help me out" with the copay. I thought she meant she would work out a payment plan.
@JaneA- this group is definitely a compassionate company AND compassionate people.
I love happy endings too. I am just not so used to them happening to me.0
