Glad she’s getting a night at home to sleep. We have a hospital with a sleep room that is used by staff and spouses of patients who live far away. I slept there 2 nights after the nurses saw how exhausted I was. I don’t think they tell everyone about it. I was there with my husband who was admitted for possible heart issue. I had been up for 3 days by then. I wonder if they have one there? It was a big room with about 20 cots , locked and security watching over doors in and out. With Covid that may not be possible to use now. I also had poo problems after every surgery, so miserable! Can they give you anything in the tube for that or by IV? Does the formula make you feel sick? I know you are doing what you have to do to get home! Can you walk around more to get things going? I remember trying everything so I could go home. It just takes some time to wake up those bowels!0

UCSF had chairs that made into beds. Not wonderful but son did just fine. This journey involves many. Hang in there. Our positive energy coming your way!0

My husband's room had a recliner that made into a bed of sorts and a couch that looked like it would have made a pretty good bed. But, they wouldn't let anyone stay overnight; I guess because of COVID (like everything else - EVERYTHING was blamed on COVID). I had to follow visiting hours, which was a pain because they started at 11 AM - after a lot of the doctors and therapists had already made their rounds.0

My husband went into hospital, dropped him at front door and picked him up a week later. Not good but covid. My surgeries (5) were pre covid and fortunate that someone was able to stay with me. Nervous Nell here slept so much better. Hugs to all as we navigate these choppy seas!0
