I'm waiting for a scan report and call from the doctor.

I feel like I'm sitting on the railroad tracks watching a train coming towards me and I know I'm going to just sit here. Anybody else get that feeling?

Oh, yeah. Waiting is the worst. Waiting for scan or other test results is definitely like sitting on the railroad tracks and waiting to see if that approaching train is aimed for you or is it on the other track and will just zoom in by, leaving you breathless but untouched - this time. Wishing you good news. Let us know.0

I usually keep so busy that my mind doesn't have time to dwell on the "what ifs" or "oh no's." I am a person who does not believe in worry ... I believe it causes stress, which is certainly dangerous to your health and could even bring about a self-fulfilling prophecy. I also believe worry accomplishes absolutely nothing except making you miserable. It changes no diagnosis or anything else.
I have trained my brain to quickly recognize if I start dwelling on some "what-if" and to immediately turn to happier, more positive thoughts.
With all of that said, I hope you've been worrying unnecessarily and that all is well with you, BobsProstate.0 -
I feel your pain, I was sitting in your chair, on the tracks, last weekend waiting for the same results.0

Oh, yes, I've had that feeling. Waiting is the worst. Hang in there and please let us know how it goes. Sending very best wishes to you.0
