Nausea and anxiety

Does anyone have any over the counter remedies to help with nausea and anxiety. Mine seems to be getting worse.
I'm on prochlorazine and olanzapine for nausea.
And was on lorazepam for nausea but my new Dr won't prescribe it.
Wondering if anyone gas found something that isn't a prescription that worked for them?

Sucking on candied ginger really help me with nausea. Ginger is known to help nausea - I remember my grandmother giving me ginger ale as a little girl. Saltine crackers also help.

Your doctor probably is reluctant to prescribe Ativan for nausea since it is a considered a controlled substance. However, there are many affordable anti-nausea prescriptions that they could prescribe. Can you call your chemo center nurse and ask them to call in some anti-nausea medicine?

Yes she said you can get addicted to it and she can't subscribe it. Need a Dr that knows me. But I moved in sept and have all new doctors that's my issues.
Thanks I bought some ginger candies from the bulk barn yesterday to see if they help.
I'm no longer in Chemo haven't been since 2015. In 2019 when I had a reoccurrence no Chemo as I couldn't afford it so not sure if my old Chemo clinic will call anything in worth a try though. Thanks for the suggestions.

Nausea can be caused by anxiety. This is a very anxious time in your life, obviously. It is not a cure-all, but the research hematologist who has saved my life three - probably four times - prescribed me a well-established drug called Trazodone. It is available generic (i.e. affordable), but is a prescription drug. Non-habit forming. Primarily an anti-anxiety and anti depression drug, it also helps one to sleep soundly. Less anxiety, less chance for nausea, is what I'm thinking. It is certainly worth asking doctor about.

This fear of government by doctors is just plain wrong. Patients can grow tolerant of anxiety meds and need to increase dosage but, that’s better than a cancer patient suffering with high anxiety and panic attacks. Find a psychiatrist who treats cancer patients.

The nausea meds did not help with my nausea. I switched from zofran iv to emend iv and used lorazepam for anxiety and nausea as zofran pills did nothing but make me constipated. You should not have nausea and anxiety. The oncologist should prescribe something for the anxiety. Mt Onc tweaked my chemo cocktail till chemo 6.

Best remedy I have found is what I call "barf bracelets" the medical name is SeaBands. They gave to me when I was in the hospital for an obstructed bowel. I thought they were giving me zofran in the IV. I thought the bands were to help them find my veins. I have used ever since, They even work for motion sickness. And they last longer than a prescription
