It's a new month! March is here, supposedly the best time of the year. Spring has sprung!

What do you hope to get out of March? For me, I want this feeding tube out of me, hopefully Tuesday that will happen, but I have doubts no that my oncologist said that she doubted it would happen because it takes longer than this for it to heal. While I'm not sure what is going to heal when it is sticking through me.

Second, I hope to get this T.E.P. put in and hoping for it to allow me to speak again. Fingers are crossed, so come on March, let's see what you got!

I've been trying very hard to go an entire month without some form of appointment. I have a follow up scheduled for the 20th, but depending on the "panicdemic" status, I might cancel it.

Call the facility and inquire about safety and importance of appointment. I tended to endeavour to make every app't as it helped keep my anxiety in check.

New beginnings and looking forward to the future. Hopefully my significant other will take the steps to get better, to eat healthier, to exercise and do what the doctor orders. Wishing all a positive and healthier spring.

I'm with poguy. A month with no appointments. Wouldn't that be great? Won't be March though. So far I have 8 that I can think of and that's just the first two weeks! The good news is they're mostly NOT cancer related. I'd just be happy if we could put winter behind us. Two feet of snow here now but it's 40 degrees and raining today so that will help knock it down.

    Good luck, Greg!

Good luck, Greg!!! I will try to remember to log into WhatNext to get an update on what you learned at the doctor. It seems like you've been doing remarkably well and for that, I am very thankful.

I look forward to seeing the first flowers beginning to bloom and the trees budding out. Our winter has been so mild, though, that the trees are already budding and some of the grass (or weeds) never even turned brown... Usually, I look at spring as a time of renewal ... but I have a hard time enjoying spring as much as I should because I'm already dreading our ridiculously hot summers.

I'm getting my second knee replacement surgery on the 10th of March. I just can't wait to be down with pain. And I like that the days will be longer starting this weekend.

Like po18guy, I have cancelled all nonessential appointments. My once a month check for blood thinners is essential. Some of my periodic check-ups are overdue. My plans for March are to go into semi-isolation. I hope that March will see a decrease in the Coronavirus and that we will no longer be in a state of emergency. I will be a 10 stage IV survivor of esophageal cancer on March 19 (that is if I don't contract the coronavirus and die) I will be planting my Victory Garden on my balcony as getting around is becoming increasingly difficult. Hoping everyone has a beautiful March

Greg - Praying for a good doctor's visit tomorrow. I hope you can get that tube out soon if not tomorrow. Let us know what Donna thinks of your new voice!
cllinda - It must seem like forever until the 10th comes and your surgery will be over. Will be thinking of you.

@BoiseB..My husband is able to check his INR/PT times at home every two weeks with a device very similar to a glucometer in function. Just bigger strips and lancets. He calls his number into the company that the supplies come from and they call his cardiologist. Then the cardiologist calls if he wants to make any adjustment to his coumadin levels. Easier than it sounds and you don't have to go out.

I'm looking forward to Spring. My crocus are already blooming. The trees are starting to bud. I need to get out into the garden and trim the dead growth back from my perennials. Trying to figure out what veges to plant in my pots.

March in the upper Midwest is mud season. Cold, rain or snow and very little sun.
Our spring is not till mid or late April or early May, depending on how far north we live.
Garrison Keillor once quipped that March around here shows non-drinkers what a hang-over is like!

Hear ya, Molly72. Up here in Northern New York (I can see Canada from here) we have five seasons; WINTER!!!!!, mud and ice, spring, summer (2 days and if we're lucky one of them is the 4th of July), fall ( the best!) then back to WINTER again. I may very well have crocus but hard to say as they'd be under 2 feet of snow. Although with climate change, summer has become longer and often intolerable with heat and humidity.

@paperpusher: I get my INR checked at my cancer center. My oncologist is also a hematologist. She's on top of it & I don't have to deal with the extra blood test & visit. If I think something is wrong, I go in & it is checked.
@Greg: I'm watching your progress. Every morning, I say the the Unity's Prayer for Protection for everyone with cancer.
Spring has spring in Northern KY. Rainy & dreary.
