Nancyjac, I saw your picture on someone else's wall, and am wondering where you are? I hope you are ok. We miss you on WhatNext.0November 2013

Hi Nancy,
I haven't been on this site in a long while. Curious to see how you are doing? I am still working and quite active. Risa0June 2016 -
This is a new diagnosis. I received the biopsy results from my primary care physician but haven't spoken with any treatment people for plan of action. I had insitu ductal carcinoma 15 years ago and had an advocate. That was very helpful. I'll need a buddy and someone having similar experiences.0January 2013

Thanks for that helpful answer/link on the Hodgkins/breast cancer correlation Nancy!
That's more info that I got from OBGYN...
Good luck to you.

Hi Nancy Jac,
Are you still active on this site? Please let me know. Thanks0April 2015 -
The point is that it gives you a measurable marker on which to guage your progress, and to see if your symptoms are returning. The 'removal ' of a tumour does not mean that your body isn't producing cancer cells anymore0January 2014

My chemo stopped working, pain increased and depression crashed down. I haven't been here for quite a while. Now that I am fighting my way back I find you are MIA. I miss your post and answers. I imagine there are a lot of us here that are in the medical field that don't broadcast it for many reasons. You have always been clear and concise with your information. It might not always have been well received but it is needed. I had an oncologist who told me I would be cancer free after my surgery. It gave my family false hope even though I tried to tell them it doesn't work that way unless a miracle happened. I would rather have blunt honest information than rainbows and fairy tales. You are sorely missed and needed. You can't please all the people all the time, but you can be a very necessary and crucial part of our community here. Please come back0July 2013

I thought that I would be so kind
To stop in before you bare behind
And wish you happy valentine
For all your polyps to be benign.
Good luck with your colonoscopy.0February 2013 -
I hate cancer. I have been in pain since November 2012, and I am so tired of it. My hope is that going to MD Anderson I will get the best care offered to cancer patients. I am going back for surgery at the end of this month, but I wonder what quality of life I will have with a bag of shit on my side, a permanent colostomy.0July 2013

Hi nancyjac- clearly you are being missed by many and are thought highly of by many! I do hope that you didn't stop offering your heart up to others because of one - un-named- person who seems to just be angry as hell at whatever target is available! It looks like that person's journey with cancer has been extremely difficult... I am sorry that she lashed out at you in such an abrasive way!
It is never wrong to offer kindness, regardless of what comes back! I think there are many on here that would really like to see/ read the kindness/ helpful attitude you have offered return!
I certainly do hope and pray that your absence is not due to medical complications. Blessings- beeps0June 2013 -
Nancyjac,
Forgive me, but I'm not the most savvy when it comes to txt messaging lingo. What is IMO?
Thanks,

were you advised to take Tamoxifen or a similar drug? Have they started you on Herceptin yet? Pardon my nosiness but I'm a retired nurse practitioner and like to keep up with the most up to date treatments, see how things have changed or not changed. By the way, you and the kitty look well0May 2013
