I am age 61 and live in Northern Wisconsin. I have been telling my oncologist that I have hip pain since October 2012. Saw him in Jan and April 2013 and told him pain was getting bad. He kept saying it was arthritis in the hip. Now pain is in hip and back and I have stage 4 IBC in spine and hip. Will have PET Scan Friday 6/7/13 in Duluth, MN to see if it is any place else. I have lost faith in the oncologist that I had for past 2 years. I plan on going to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Hope they can do something to stop this cancer. Thanks so much for your answer. Wish I could get to Houston. Have heard great things about them.

Hi PDale. Welcome to What Next. There are lots of great people here. If you have any questions, please use the question tab near the top of the page -- that way, the entire network will have access & you'll get a quicker response. I'm so sorry you had problems w/your doctor. Looks like you might be done w/him? If not, I think I might be looking for another doc. My oncologist is leaving his practice to focus on administrative duties -- he's the head of oncology at my hospital. So I'll be looking to meet the new doc in Aug. Anyhoo, I hope you find this site as helpful and supportive as I have. Wishing you the best.
