Hi, what kind of lung cancer do you have? Has your Dr. given you any suggested treatment plan? I have stage IV non small cell. Just finished 4 months of chemo and radiation. I was diagnosed in Feb. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Just saw your comment on Clyde's wall. I am sending you hugs and healing vibes. Yes it is hard to be a receiver after being a giver and helper. Cancer really forces us to focus on who we are. i really resented needing help, and it took me months to get to realize that it was not a sign of weakness. Sending you hugs and healing vibes.

When I was newly diagnosed 12/11. I did alot of research on the internet. American Cancer Socieity a great source, the National Lung Cancer Partnership Alliance.Org is another great one. Try to arm yourself with recent information & stay hopeful. Also the Bible is an excellent source to arm myself in this battle. GOD bless you.

YOU HAVE LUNG CANCER was probably the scariest thng I had ever heard. I was diagnosed in 2010, I have had 4 surgeries and went on chemo when they found my lymph nodes were also affected. I was on carboplatin and gemzar. Unfortunately they played havoc with my blood counts. I am now on oral chemo. Don't know yet how it is working. When I got the diagnosis, I thought my life was over but with the help of my family, friends, Doctor and my What Next friends I have learned that you can never give up. You just have to stay positive and live everyday to the MAX. Let me know if I can help you with your journey.

I just joined this site and it is my first exposure to anything like this in relationship to my diagnosis of stage IV lung cancer 12/19/12 - I am not sure if I am even doing this the right way but i had thought it was time to reach out to others for support. As I was just linking around the site looking at others peoples posts/pages I came across yours and I just wanted to tell you that I will be praying and thinking of you and hope everything goes well for you next week. I know you don't know me from "adam" but am here for you too -

Hi Deb. I know you are scared, but you are coming in to one of the best cancer centers in the area. I'm from Columbus, so I understand how important the James is. Although I did go through Riverside instead of OSU -- my cancer was found during a hernia repair @ Riverside. I'd convinced myself I was going to get a 2nd opinion @ the James. And then I met my onocologist and decided I didn't need it. I hope that if you need radiation or chemo they'll be able to do that for you closer to home. Lima's a haul, and there are no go straight shots between here and there, like 71 or 75. Safe journey, both in treatment and in physical travel.

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, any questions you may have just post them in the questions tab and everyone will see them there and be able to help you.

    https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/lung-cancer

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Just click this link to invite them to join. http://www.whatnext.com/recruit-a-friend
