Hi, I'm curious to find out what kind of treatment plan Dr. Moore has you on after surgery. I had surgery 3 weeks ago & see him on the 14th for my post-op & treatment discussion. Just wondering what to maybe expect. Are you able to work during treatment?0October 2013

Buena Vista is east of Grand Junction (but then just about every town in Colorado is east of there!) about 4 hours, in the Arkansas River valley. You have been dealt a double whammy, girl. But you sound like a strong person so I am sure you will do well with surgery and whatever treatment you need following. I wish you well and look forward to hearing from you on your progress.0July 2013

Hi 2B. I noticed you've decided to follow me. I am really sorry you got a 2nd diagnosis. I just don't like it when life is not fair. I can't give you any advice on the robotic procedure, as I had the good old fashioned open from stem to stern. They took out the whole gyn system, along with the omentum (the layer of fat over the abdominal organ -- that's where my mets were & luckily could be removed). it didn't bother me too much, as I don't have kids & never wanted them -- no maternal bone in my body. It did kinda feel weird for awhile, but that passed. if I can help in any way, pls let me know. I'm very good at being a smart aleck. comic relief, that's me! Let us know when they give you a new surgical date so we can think good thoughts for ya. Hang in there!0July 2013

Hi 2bbcontinued ... So sorry about your new diagnosis. I was diagnosed with uterine sarcoma, estimated at stage III in Nov. 2011, had chemo through April 2012, then internal radiation, completed July 2012. If you have any questions, I'll be sure to try & answer as best as I can, though I see from your profile that our situations are different. Wishing you peace & blessings along your journey.0May 2013

I was hospitalized for 5 weeks and 4 days. 17 days of which were in a medically induced coma. They discovered internal bleeding after I was in the recovery room after the initial surgery and when they re-opened me and repaired the bleed something went wrong though I'm still not exactly clear on what happened. I spent a few weeks in re-hab learning to eat and walk. The long term effect was that as a result of the intubation I suffered VFP (vocal fold paralysis) and my right vocal cord is still paralyzed. I also lost thr caps on my upper front teeth. It was a miserable experience but I'm getting my health back slowly. Hope you are doing well and your recovery is on track. Thanks for writing.0February 2013
