I am trying to get out but the system. I want to go to is not on my insurance. It is also bad that my primary care doctor is in te system also0July 2013

Hope all my friends following me had a glorious and safe holiday weekend.Lets start to kick some cancer butt in the coming months.
Blessings. Cellkiller0July 2013 -
Been reading your stuff. Seems like your doctor is like my door knocker in showing his stuff and that you persist in spite of him. It is a shame they have delayed OBummercare but, come the fall, you are entitled to change your Medicare plan, every year, aren't you? Blessings and hugz.0July 2013

Hi BoiseB,
Yes I had been losing a lot of hair before treatment. I had Thyroid cancer in 2004 so I thought that was causing it. Since i had a Lumpectomy and finished my treatments it seems to be healthier and I am not losing as much of it!0June 2013 -
Lemongrass. It grows prolifically and, once entrenched, is like a weed. It grows tall and you can make borders with it. Mash the stalks, once mature, and mix with fresh ginger for a most refreshing tea, no sweetener required (really). The lemongrass and the ginger have anti cancer properties.
Have you ever looked up a wildcrafted herb called "nigella sativa"? It is a black seed in the cumin family. There are a lot more. I am geeklingat yahoodot com if you'd like to discuss gardening further.
I looked up what you told me, thanx, as I'd no idea the DW organisation existed.0June 2013 -

We have been looking at rare cancers of different types to try to find as many people as we can to come to whatnext to increase the size of each rare cancer group we have. Esophageal being a rare type, could you drop a msg and link around facebook or anywhere you see an Esophageal group, and invite them to join us?
Thanks0January 2013 -

in response to your "Plan B" instead of resolutions. I had a pre-surgery, post diagnosis party themed "it is all about how you handle plan B." My motto and I am sticking to it.0December 2012

Boise, you had said you have dental issues after your treatment. I too have some serious dental problems I am in the middle of dealing with. All my teeth started getting brittle, cracking and breaking, cavities developed in all teeth. I have had several pulled, but the Oral surgeons now want to do extensive reconstruction, salvage operatiion to save as many as possible. The fear of Osteoradionecrosis is steering them to do this. I have one socket that has been almost two months waiting to heal up, it's stubborn. Doc's won't pull anymore until this one heals.
What problems are you having?
Thanks for the input.0December 2012 -
I can only hope to be 70 years old and freaked out that I couldn't retrieve a word. My wife and I purchased long term health care insurance. I have a concern about Alzheimer's and want to be able to afford care in case I'm stricken. There's are also web sites that provide memory games. Thanks for sharing!0November 2012

BoiseB,
Thanks so much for your input. It was what I was looking for. I'm hoping chemo-brain will slowly resolve itself but I'm realizing I need to do something to help the process along. Your suggestions are very helpful.

BoiseB, I have read and re-read my answer to your question, and I do want to say sorry if you felt I was disrespectful. Times are tough here, and I'm sorry to take anger out on you. I feel awful posting without rereading.
I know that when the year ticks over, you will most likely still retain you same health care team that has cared for you all along. I know they are not going to allow a change in health care shorten your life.. I am putting faith in my fellow Americans a lot I suppose. I'm just trying to not be so skeptical.0November 2012 -
