RB: I am Atheist and would NEVER rely on prayer to anyone for any reason. I much prefer a scientific approach and would blast my cancer with all the techno cures/chemicals available. If I were given a choice by my doctors, I STILL would choose chemo, because then if it were to come back a THIRD time, I could tell myself, "Well, it's not MY fault; I did EVERYTHING possible to keep clear of cancer." I can see we have different approaches, that's for sure. Good luck w/your plan.0July 2013

Hi RB: I disagree with you on your advice to pray and avoid chemo as it only helps a bit. Those chemicals can work! I am as proactive as I can be to avoid another cancer, as this one last year was my second. Also, breast cancer does NOT run in my family, but strangely, my sister was diagnosed with the same type as me, 9 months to the day of my second diagnosis. So it DOES happen. You might want to be a little more proactive in your treatment instead of relying on prayer to get you through cancer. Just sayin'.0July 2013

I River. Good to hear from you. I am now 9 weeks post op and the recovery seems so slow even though I am doing everything I can to make the muscles work again. I was healthy before surgery so don't know why it is taking so long. I have one implant that doesn't want to drop....I just want to hang a weight on it...LOL Thank you for the prayer. I always say a prayer for everyone on this site at night. Hope you live in a cooler state then the midwest.....we are baking outside. Glad my A/C is working. Thanks for writing and take care0July 2013

Welcome to the site. I think that you will find this a friendly place to come when you are having a bad day and just need to sound off or vent. We are here to listen and help if we can. We have all been there done that at some point in our lives so we kind of know what your are going through. Don't be afraid to ask questions either because no question is silly or dumb on this site. We all have questions that someone can help us with. That is what is so great about this site. Someone has been there done that and can help you out with your question. So good luck with whatever is in store for you and know that you have friends here who care what goes on in your life. Don't be afraid to ask, we will all be here for you.0June 2013

Thank you . I really get aggravated at myself for not being able to do as much as I did in the past. It helps to know that it is the meds and not just me. If I over do one day , I pay for it the next. I can hardly move.
I see you are new to this site . Welcome. The people here are wonderful .0June 2013 -

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us.Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.
https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/breast-cancer
There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.
You may also find our "Beginner's Guide To Cancer" page helpful Click Here for that=> http://bit.ly/10BQKCi
Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.
Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
