Hi, Sharlie. I would've posted this landlord update as a PM on Facebook, but I have to install Messenger there and can't do it tonight, so here I am! I just wanted to let you know that we hired a lawyer to represent us in court, and we will most likely be okay - as long as we get rid of the hoard.

I hope your move is going smoothly. I know how much hard work it takes to move (I've had to move out of a few painting studios over the years, and moving from one apartment to another is even more taxing.

    Hugs and kittens!

Sharlie, I won't be joining you on Facebook because I was kicked off for forgetting my password. I hope you will re-consider that the majority was not attacking you, and come back to say Hi soon.

We're all really in the same boat. I don't know anyone who has foregone traditional treatment, including you, which is what people are so against (foregoing traditional treatment). I hope you don't think that not taking Tamoxifen because of side effects would be called that---it's just a variation in your treatment. (I also stopped taking Tamoxifen quickly because of side effects.)

I still take a daily chemo pill that's very effective at shrinking my tumors, but when it stops working, I'll take anything that gives me hope.

    Best wishes.

Perhaps you might be interested in another cancer social network it is called CancerConnect.com. It is a strictly monitored site and I find it difficult to negotiate. You might find it interesting. I still will remember you in my prayers

Hi, I still have strep. My doctor was explaining false positives and negatives. I didn't whine. I just said- I'm not better, my fever never broke. She ran a strep-and it was positive.

My temp was down to 97.4.. I explained it has pretty much been that way, but I get nurses that write or manually enter 98.8. I think that her nurse is wonderful, because she let's the actual temp stay in my record. I just said- I have trouble getting medical care, and it's been hard.

With the new antibiotic guidelines -starting with a low antibiotic and going to a stronger one just seems to make my nasty bacteria stronger. She wanted to give me Augmentin, but the network wouldn't let her. I'm in a really sucky era of medical care.

Sharlie, I'm so sorry you are taking this so hard. I sincerely think the words that bothered you were directed to someone else, a man who is usually angry and critical, definitely not at you. The poster actually named two people she was addressing. I wrote you another post about this, but was worried you wouldn't see it.

Sharlie, we enjoy your posts and hope you will reconsider staying with us.

    Hey Sharlie,
I did not get to finish my scolding of a certain person as nicely as I could. This is the middle of August & here in the country that is harvest & canning time. I just put up razzberry jam-- seedless yet & now must do tomatoes. So time is crazy right now.
But I must tell you that I am upset with certain people, & you know who they might be, I am afraid to say anything too chastizing to them, I got kicked off of one site for just trying to be honest!
But try & forget them, & just block their posts, I think there is a way to do that, but not quite sure how. Most people here are quite nice, & there's always a couple of stinkers who think that they have all the answers.
So just hang in there, 99% of the people here are on your side!

Sharlie, I am so sorry this happened to you. I walked in late on the conversation and I don't understand how anyone could be nasty to any of our members. I would like to apologize for whoever it was. I will be praying for you. We don't anyone to leave. I think Greg said it best.
Please know we are here for you!!!

Sorry to hear that recently your experience has been negative. People sometimes are insensitive....whether they mean to be, or not. I am pretty new to WN, but so far have found it helpful. I hope you will come back refreshed soon.

Sharlie I am so sorry you have been hurt. I always try to jump to the defense of others when I see hurtful things happen. I know I have some pretty sharp opinions, I try never to make those opinions personal. When I put the @ sign to anyone's logo I try to be complimentary. When I find that a discussion has deteriorated into name calling and dissention I pretty much ignore that discussion
Again my apologies and best wishes for your speedy recovery

Hi, Sharlie-- that rebuke we got today was extremely unusual for WhatNext. This spring somebody did ask if we had to stay on topic. Greg and the administrators said -NO---Just don't be rude- Don't say hurtful things-Don't ask for personal information or give any personal information, phone, social securty number, checking account information, don't ask for or give any money. For myself- I avoid religion and politics-most of us do

One of my best WN friends came about when I wrote a silly poem about lost socks. The subject was Lost Socks. A dear couple say a bulge in the arm of a track suit, and she thought her husband developed a new cancer tumor. Lost socks in the sleeve.

Anyway--we seldom stay on track here. The member has kidney cancer, and she's probably is having a dreadful time with her cancer- meds-family-her doctor-- general health--

I appreciate your concern and help-thinking outside of the box. It has really been helping me. I haven't told my family- why worry them? I think it's better to say- whatever-and Dr. So and So is treating me. Your concern has actually made me feel better mentally.

This is what I went to Boise's wall for. She likes dogs-and I thought this is great- it brings a big smile to the face.

Sharlie, I want to try cannabis oil to control metastasis. I saw a post where you indicated you had some oil that may have had a 1:1 ratio of THC:CBD. How is it working for you? Can you tell me what providers I might be able to reach out to? Many thanks! Judy in Ky

Hi Sharlie I asked before about the cannabis oil and you answered you take a few drops daily. My daughter-in-law is starting taxol, herceptin and perjeta for the next 12 weeks. We were looking into the marijuana oil suppositories but are unsure about doing it while she's getting active chemo treatment. We will ask her oncologist but I don't think she'll be open to this. This is the THC 80% which is good for HER2 positive breast cancer. What do you think? Thanks

Hi, The oral medicines would not work on me. I am Her2+, ER-/PR- which means my tumor was aggressive & was not fueled by estrogen. About 20-25% of breast cancer patients come back as HER2+. There was never an option one way or the other to not have chemo, radiation & the lumpectomy. I called it "The Full Monty". Herceptin is a TARGETED Therapy & treats your own DNA' HER2+ receptors. Once you have more info, you can begin learning the new language of BC. I had no idea, none, of any other types, treatments. I am a fan of new medical science, the oncologist, my primary internist & the surgeon. I just went along with what was suggested. A huge saving factor for me, was there was no lymph nodes that were cancerous. I had a sentinel node biopsy at the lumpectomy time & while in surgery, it came back as clear. Even with being clear now, there is a 50% chance of bone, liver, brain recurrence. I'm two years out & while there are side effects, I'm still here to see grandkids graduate. Let us know how you are holding up. We are all here for you 24/7! Hugs, Barb

Welcome, Sharlie, and so sorry youre on this journey with us. I so remember the shock and anxiety I experienced when diagnosed 10 months ago. I think it may have been worse than the bilateral mastectomy. Xanax helped to take the edge off. I felt much calmer after I had a treatment plan in place. Hang in there, you're stronger than you think and everyone here will help you. Hugs to you and best wishes on all your decisions.

Welcome to the site. I am sure that you will find this a friendly place to come when you need someone to talk to. We are all in the same boat when it comes to emotions and feelings about our health. Just know that no question is to silly to ask and if you need to vent because you are having a bad day, we are here for you. I hope you find this site as helpful to you as it has been for me.

Hello and welcome, we are happy to have you with us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

    https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/breast-cancer

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.
