Dear Karen: congratulations on achieving your ten year anniversary. Wow, that is something not to be taken lightly, ya. Good for you.
My great grandfather had two bakeries in Denver. I wish I knew which years and where. But nonetheless, thank you for posting and best to you for continued success! Katie

Hi! I wanted to reach out to you as a fellow school psychologist. I admire you for being able to continue to work! I would have appreciated the distraction if I had been able to concentrate, but I was and still am, an emotional mess. I'm off until fall now.
Any insights and advice on how to get thru this? Any and all info appreciated. Colleen

Hi. Read you post about bummerhood. It took yat another year to get the doctors to wake the f up but, as it turned out, they likely gave me a blood disease when they screwed up the cancer treats. That was a real treat too. then, five years later, I discovered I had toxic mold growing behind the walls & in the attic of my then hiuse. I removed myself from the moldy house and life got a biy better. I finally routed the blood disease and the depression is become more occasional. Just dont give up. I radically changed my diet & life (style, lol, doesnt really describe it) and things are better. best wishes and very good luck

In a post you mentioned that you had taken DIMS and then stopped. I hadn't heard of it until I saw Barry's link and your mention. I'm strongly considering not taking the AIs but will look into the link. Why did you stop taking DIMS?

Thanks for giving some feedback on my question about sleep. I'm glad you have found ways to improve the amount of sleep you get and I agree that treatments do seem linked to insomnia and sleep problems.

As I recall, you have had a hysterectomy. Was that after your tx for BC? I have had mastectomy (bilateral), chemo, and radiation. On femara. BRCA negative. Recent ultrasound shows uterine fibroids. Don't HAVE to have hysterectomy, but thinking I want those parts OUT! Especially since my doc does robotic hyst.... Thoughts?

Hi Karen, thanks for response re implants. I like you had the 300, surgeon is proposing 250 now. Now you went 200, outside of bra measurements, what cup size do you feel. He was surprised that they came so big on me, not awfully big, just not my style. Tks

I underwent a double mastectomy in April and then had a second surgery to remove more tissue and the nipple. I currently have spacers in while i undergo chemo, to start next week and then radiation. Did your chest ache for a long time? Were you able to sleep in a bed? I have been sleeping in a recliner for 6 wks now. Also my breasts feel like they are so swollen at times, thankfully it seems to get better with reclining and sometimes ice.

Hi, Karen, thanks for your helpful response about non-narcotic pain relief. I'll talk to my surgeon about it. Glad to hear that Ibuprofen can maybe handle any pain.
