Lynn, Thanks for the info on the radiation of scans. My doctor has "poo pooed" any questions I have. Can't change doctors as there are only three gyno oncologists in the area and they are all in the same office. Good luck in getting a second opinion when they are working together!! I am thinking about traveling back to my old home area (2 hours each way) since it is only twice a year. What do you think?0March 2015

Thanks Lynne
I just found out that the procedure is scheduled for Wednesday March 4 with a general surgeon. Glad that you were okay with it.0February 2015 -
Thanks Lynn. I had a complete hysterectomy in December. Everything seems to move slowly one step at a time. Can't wait to have all this behind me.0February 2015

We are football soulmates-- the only difference was that I picked Ohio---They seemed almost as fast as the Ducks, but they had more weight and stamina. Yea-- Packers!!! Go Aaron!!!0January 2015

Thank you so much for your answer. This decision with the radiation been so agonizing. Did I read that you did not have radiation? Again thanks. Also so happy to see your progress through the months. Can't wait to get there and wish I was in a trial like yours glad you found that.0December 2014

Ovarian cancer is very hard to detect and treat. You seem to feel very much like I do. about grounding, communication. Considering that cancer treatments can sometimes cause secondary cancers-even years later, I find phrases like NED sort of odd. I have an odd cancer that is spread by surgery. It does not respond well to chemo. You can figure out the next term.
Everyone wants to tell their story about why they use the terms they use. You are interested in communicating. If I go anywhere and somebody says, "NED". I know that I don't care to talk to them. I'll go to a clinic jigsaw puzzle and work on it.0October 2014 -

He stuck needles down arms and legs from knee down thru feet. Only felt two go in, not bad at all. Go this Wednesday for another. Have to lay still for 20 minutes. Think too early to tell but last 3days have felt better mentally and physically. Feet still hurt. We've had Blessed Sunshine after 4" of sleet, melting. Think sun and getting out is real answer. Had an extremely cold Winter. CT showed no sign of cancer but we both know with the "C" grade will wait, wait. Port being flushed to keep it active. See Dr in May. Seeing my Internist to see where I am. Had surgery for blocked Iliac Artery a year ago (that's when told me needed see oncologist). Had no symptoms .except weight loss but my husband had died. Wonder if was cancer? Will let you know bout next needle stick. Not bad, nice young man.0March 2014

Hi Lynne, just wondering how you're keeping. I read on another post you have started your last round of chemo. I imagine that must be a pretty momentous milestone. I hope your body can tolerate it without too much pain and sickness. You've coped amazingly, sending lots of stay well vibes to you x0February 2014

You're doing good, after chemo has it's challenges, I felt a bit lost without my weekly visits. On the other side you will start feeling better physically, somewhat up and down but the good days will start out weighing the bad, hang in there.0March 2014

Hi Lynne
Received a treatment of cisplatin yesterday. Only took one hour & then another hour for the saline flush. Today I have been vomiting about once an hour. What good are the nausea meds if you take them and throw up??? The dr told me it would be nasty & give me worse nausea & pain in my abdomen. The paperwork for cisplatin also says it can last for a week. Did you have this experience? The taxol was "easy" compared to this.0February 2014 -
I would have been so disappointed about putting off last chemo. Yesterday 1st time not having chemo. I'm expecting great things from my body now that I'm not mistreating it. (Just kidding)0February 2014
