Hi there! I have a similar diagnosis to yours and I'm just finishing up my second round of carboplatin/taxol on the same schedule as you. Just learned that since I was stage IV my oncologist wants to put me on 12 rounds of taxol only every three weeks now... And I thought I was done.

As Lynne said, keep your medical team updated on your side effects - there are so many things they can do to help you through this. And they want you to be as comfortable as possible. And we are all here for any questions you may have or even just to share worries and joys. We understand.

Sending lots of good energy your way!

The Carboplatin and Cisplatin were hard on me also.Five weeks to go before hopefully you are finished so it is just around the corner. How have your 125's been?Do you have a strong support system? Keep your medical team informed of your side effects because of the cumulative effects.Needed shots for low WBC before final chemo. It was delayed twice. This journey is not easy for sure, you take care and keep me informed.Hugs.

STJohnson, good to hear from you. I am now two months post chemo and still fatigued, lots of naps. Trying to resume my life.Sorry you are having to undergo chemo again. What do they have you on? Be sure you take your anti nausea meds. before you actually feel nauseated.I would take them when I had no appetite and they enabled me to eat .I took Zofran and Compazine. Understand the depression,I am still taking my anti depressant. Make sure you keep the medical team informed about your side effects.Better days are ahead.Take care, talk anytime.Know you are not alone, you have a whole community who cares about you.

Welcome to our WHAT NEXT Family. I'm sure glad you found us. I was originally DX with Stage IV Ovarian Cancer.... Then after my debulking surgery,, upgraded to IIIC like you. I followed my Gynecologic Oncologist Surgeon's advise on everything.... Here I am eight years later ... Cancer Free. I was 62 at diagnosis. I put my hand in God's and asked Him to lead me. He led me from there to here and neither one of us has let go. In these years I've gained three more grandchildren, two grand children-in-laws, and two beautiful GREAT grandchildren... I had a smashingly fun 70th BD party. Keep your eyes on being well, see yourself well. Make plans for then... See it, believe it, Achieve it.

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
