Hi, Ejourneys. I just wanted to say that that was a really nice response you gave to JamieinWyoming's question ("All done and NOW I get scared?") I haven't had a chance to read the sources yet but I plan to. Thank you for all of that info.

Thank you for taking the time to give me all those helpful links, It defiantly helps ease some of this. And, some of my pamphlets go very extreme and can be difficult to swallow.

I just watched the video your radiation center had for you to view. I sure wish mine would have had something like that when I was going through treatments. Linda

Thank you. Let me know if you wish to not answer a question.
How did you first become aware of your cancer?

Good morning. After getting most of my ideas corralled and somewhat organized, I began my first draft of my book on weight management for cancer survivors last night. I have a favor to ask you.
You appear to be intelligent, and a reader and writer yourself. Would you be interested in being a beta reader for me, after my first round of editing? I'm looking for feedback about how to make my book better for my readers, before it gets published. It will likely be a few months before I'm at that stage. If you are not comfortable or willing to do this, for any reason, please don't hesitate to say so.

Hi! I'm new here and you seem to have the same diagnosis as me. I'm not sure about my HER2 status yet but I am also ER+ and PR+. I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago and am still undergoing a whole bunch of tests, and will soon find out my treatment plan.

Any advice or words of wisdom for a newb?

    Hi Ejourneys,
How long did it take your raw spots to heal after radiation? I've five boosts left, and my underarm has really taken a hit. I don't think it is part of the boost area so thinking it should start healing? Can't use Silvadene because I am allergic to sulfa. Using aloe, jajoba and almond oil, Aquaphor, hydra-cortisone and Neosporin. Tips, pointers and thoughts welcome. Thank you! :)

Liked your solution of a badge to inform people of your weakened immune system while receiving chemo it was very creative. You are more outgoing than I am. Wore hats when I was bald and out and about. Trying to be less reserved and more informative in the New Year.Wishing you better days ahead.

hi Ejourneys, I notice that you had the exact same chemo regime as I am in the middle of! I'm halfway through AC, then on to the taxane. I'm a bit worried about neuropathy with the taxanes, did you have any such issues?

I was told my hair when it returned would be the opposite of what I lost, as far as texture was concerned! Well, I HAD baby fine hair, we buzzed it when it started to leave...When it started to come back in, it was wavy and curly, like my dad's hair. now after 5 years, I have some still wavy and some wispy baby fine, which is mostly where the heaviest radiation contact was. And I still have chemo-brain days.I've heard since My cancer is in my brain, I'm never sure if it's my brain "misfiring", or chemo brain :) Gods's speed and guidance. We may have different cancers, but I will gladly "listen"... email me if you'd like: bowlgud2@gmail.com.
The world is a better place with your smile :)

Ejourneys, I hope you don't mind my asking: Where in Brooklyn did you grow up? I'm 100% Brooklyn (Brownsville in the 1950s; Flatlands in the 1960s; Brooklyn Heights from 1973 and forevermore). I love a good Brooklyn conversation!

Hi.. You posted on my "wall"? We do sound like we have similar types of cancer. I had a lumpectomy 2 weeks ago and now am waiting for this test on the tumor to come back so I know if I need chemo or not. I suppose it's the same thing they did with yours. but I'm not sure of the name of the test. My dr. said it would take 2 weeks to get results. Thank you for your comments. I feel hopeful that in the end I will be OK. The rest of the time I'm terrified.
